And PLEASE do not subject us to another poll!
We will gladly answer questions about cpap. Just ask the QUESTION!
Polls are worthless. Many of us LIE on the ones we find least relevant.

No, the original post was more like a survey with a number of questions about what would be desirable in a website catering to those with sleep apnea. It was rather involved and did come across as posted by someone with commercial intent. I'm sure it would have gotten a lot of flak by forum members had it been allowed to stand; although, I don't know if it was offensive enough to be taken down.

Thanks to the self-appointed Thought Police.......... there's a lot of stuff that people are deprived of seeing and judging for themselves.

Yes we remove the crap of the forum that has nothing to do with sleep apnea so you don't have to worry your sleep deprived mind about it.

Sleep deprivation - it removes rational thinking but you won't know it.

What I "worry" about is anyone that presumes to think for me. Information deprivation is more of a concern for me.

I did not get to see the original post so I can't say if it was spam or not. I don't think it is right for someone to just delete a post! If it is not to your liking just move on. Other's may want to read it and decide for themselves.

That happens on other forums - real information is always here. Crap info is removed.

No one is forcing you to be here; cpaptalk.com is pretty well established in how it will be run and what is and is not allowed. You don't have to like it, you can start your own cpap message board and allow anything you like to be posted or you can continue to complain here; looks like you will not be kicked off for it so you can complain to your hearts content; not going to change anything though but if it makes you feel better...

WTF ? Have you had your reading comprehension tested lately ? Censorship is wrong if it is performed arbitrarily by someone that wasn't designated as a moderator/administrator. FWIW, The owners of this site DO NOT censor content, or so I've been lead to believe. Why should some self appointed ninny feel entitled to do it, then ? Maybe let something get several views for a period, see if a consensus is arrived at as to it's offensiveness or value to the group. Then delete. Lots of benign personal posts have been taken out on here by cowardly snipers that remain anonymous even now. That's wrong and it conflicts with the intent of the forum hosts. You're pretty new around these parts to be tellin' me or anyone else how to act ! Would you like me to sneakily delete some of your posts ? Doubt it. LOL

There are no "different views" information is correct or it isn't, and some of the stuff posted sometimes is down right deadly! It is pertinent to the board or not. If it is not then put "OT:" in front of it and people will know that it is just some stuff you want to share and people can ignore it.

I'm curious...so, if a post is left up so others can read it and decide if it should be removed...who decides which reader has the "right" to be the "self appointed ninny?"

I think the formation of a committee would be indicated, then, a vote taken with the majority voters deciding the outcome !

I've been gone and in the Hospital for 2 months and got home yesterday and we are still at it. God I love this place and all my family here. Cpap talk is the best and if you don't like it leave.
