Yes we remove the crap of the forum that has nothing to do with sleep apnea so you don't have to worry your sleep deprived mind about it.

Sleep deprivation - it removes rational thinking but you won't know it.

What I "worry" about is anyone that presumes to think for me. Information deprivation is more of a concern for me.
No one is forcing you to be here; cpaptalk.com is pretty well established in how it will be run and what is and is not allowed. You don't have to like it, you can start your own cpap message board and allow anything you like to be posted or you can continue to complain here; looks like you will not be kicked off for it so you can complain to your hearts content; not going to change anything though but if it makes you feel better...

WTF ? Have you had your reading comprehension tested lately ? Censorship is wrong if it is performed arbitrarily by someone that wasn't designated as a moderator/administrator. FWIW, The owners of this site DO NOT censor content, or so I've been lead to believe. Why should some self appointed ninny feel entitled to do it, then ? Maybe let something get several views for a period, see if a consensus is arrived at as to it's offensiveness or value to the group. Then delete. Lots of benign personal posts have been taken out on here by cowardly snipers that remain anonymous even now. That's wrong and it conflicts with the intent of the forum hosts. You're pretty new around these parts to be tellin' me or anyone else how to act ! Would you like me to sneakily delete some of your posts ? Doubt it. LOL
I can see why you would point out that I am new, after all, you have been here since March LOL and have twice as many posts as I do (62 vs 30) seems to me you are pretty new around here also.

If you feel you need to delete one of my posts, by all means do so; however, it will not prevent me from telling you when I disagree with you. I probably wouldn't know if you did because I don't make a habit of reading my own posts, I am looking to glean knowledge from those who have been at this a while. Now, would you tell me why you are questioning my reading comprehension? I thought I comprehended what you said exactly; I just happen to disagree with you.

Just because you have been Sleep Deprived doesn't mean you have ever done any rational thinking. Jim

Just saw him at the 26 mile marker, his DME provider is pulling him in a wagon with his new bike. I think Enchanter is having him break it in for him.

Maybe it's like a XPAP machine, if you don't use it the INS company won't pay for it. Jim

There is spam posted every day, usually at night. Thankfully, most of us do have access to spam buttons, so we can remove it quickly. I will only delete a post if it is obvious spam, but I do remove posts when I see spam. Usually will links to other sites. Sometimes a paragraph of rambling stuff that has nothing to do with cpap.

Do you really want to see posts about shoes for sale? Electronics for sale?

Do you really want a bunch of spam on the front page, pushing the real topics to the second page?

Completely agree with you zoocrew. The problem is posts are getting deleted that aren't obvious spam which I find ironic since this board abhors moderation but yet it seems doing that is exactly what forum members claim to be against.

They are not "moderating".

They are "censoring" (at best. Usually it's just trying to get people pissed off, retaliate, etc.).

At any rate, unless it affects the bottom line, it will continue unabated.

You don't get it - the 'board' doesn't only not moderate, it doesn't censor... not unless something truly outrageous is pointed out to them such as the type of thing Enchanter came up with the other day... one in a million times though that the board would take action. Most of the time they ignore us.

WE 'moderate' by deleting either outright spam or stuff (such as yours?) which might as well be that... stuff which does not contribute to the knowledge base of OSA or Cpap (tho' conversational topics marked "OT" for off topic are often seen when something of general interest is posted by a not-new poster). You can post whatever you want, but if the majority feels it has no useful point here, or sounds like a sales pitch, someone may well delete the post... not a criminal act, just common sense.

Reread posts.

We are not talking about the "The Board".

Boy, talk about "not getting it"...

Responded to your last quoted note... if you referred to members vs the board in the last sentence, it wasn't clear.

Members, board, forum - all the same word. The owners however are different and they are not interested in "moderating" and do not intend to be bothered by that work - that is why we have "spam" buttons - and "spam" refers to not only sales pitches but random crap anyone posts that is not marked OT: and does not refer to sleep apnea.

OK thanks.

Since your comment pretty much fits that criteria, your post was deleted.

Thanks again.

To answer the post: I May, or May not Ask a Question, But Whether Can I, or Can Not, Depends Upon Me. Whether, or Not I Like the Answers, Also Depends on Me! Jim
