I had good insurance, went with the doctor and his DME. I ended up with a brick for a machine. I didn't know any different until cpaptalk.com educated my simple brain. I am now in full control of my therapy and soon found no need for a doctor and his co pays and max for profit DME (the right way )

I will try to remember that should you ever request assistance again here on the forum or have a question about something. Will be so much easier on the fingers to just type "check with your doctor".

you're more than welcome to do what you want, and think what you want, and even express your OPINIONS as such, all you want.

however, when you make absolute statements appearing to represent facts, "that is ILLEGAL" "it's UNSANITARY" and mention things like tuberculosis.... well, then it's incumbent on people to correct those statements, and point out that they are simply your opinion, and not an accurate fact.

do please clearly mark your opinions as such, or be prepared to be asked to provide supporting documentation.

I agree, the DME's and Doctors are a pain. I went through the same mess but what's our alternative, you have to have a prescription to buy new equipment. Correct me if i'm wrong. I also agree that learning all you can about your medical issues regardless of what they are is key.

That is not why we are here.
So who pays you for this worthless advice?
Geez, what did I say to get you so mad? Do you really think I push medical equipment, No, I don't work for a doctor or DME. It's worst than that, I'm oilfield trash. After 2 years in the Marine Corp (68-70), I spent 32 years with Exxon, retired and then another 10 years with Chevron and retired for a second time. (I'm 67). Does that help or you hate me even more now.

well, you asked what the alternative was to buy a new machine.... and there are new machines, from a trusted source, zero hour. without a rx. and, if you do want to be picky about it, that's not a classified ad

Ok, now I see why you jumped on me, you took that personally, didn't you. Life's too short to be hating like that. Nothing we say on any of these forums should be personal. Me and Palerider had that misunderstanding but we're chump buddies now. Right Palerider?
