So, to get the information, I just take out the SD card and download the data on my Windows XP computer, and then put it back in the machine, and all that info will still be retained? Just want to be sure I don't mess up anything since they'll be looking at his data when he goes back to the sleep doctor in about a month.

Thanks.
That's correct, SleepyHead is read only..
Just don't do what I do and forget to put your card back in the machine.. Otherwise you will lose flow and event data for that session.. (it still keeps compliance info and event counts, which is enough to keep your sleep doc happy)

I'm not sure how well it's running on WinXP, I haven't tested in a while.. It's more older graphics cards that can be a problem.

Has anyone who's forgotten to put their card back in and slept, noticed any actual graph data (apart from the obvious missing flow rate) show in sleepyhead?

I only just noticed that my machine does not even record .002 (event) files.. When the card is re-inserted, it records one multiple chunked .001 (summary) file, but thats it.

SleepyHead currently does not parse the multiple .001 records yet, as it's only compliance data.. It does keep an event count.. I need to make it add this data, so sleepyhead can still give an accurate AHI for these days, even though there will be sections without graphs.. If yours records the .002 as well, it won't be a problem.

Haven't done it in quite a while but when I forgot the SD card...I only lost Flow graph. All other graphs were there in SH...same thing in Encore Pro. I had leak, AHI, pressure, etc. Since Pro shows wave form separately, one wouldn't even know the card had been left out just by looking at the daily details.

I can leave the card out tonight to confirm though.

Great work, Mark, and the imporvements are marvelous.

On my Resmed S9 Autoset, a night without a card is reported by SleepyHead as a night without data. There is absolute nothing in the program for these nights - not even compliance.

Thanks Pugsy,

It's not worth taking the data hit deliberately to verify..

It's not a major issue, and I already have a workaround planned..

Ouch.. I guess they are trying to encourage weekly/monthly reviews..

Funny you should ask. We were visiting the in-laws during the last week, and I left the card in my laptop during sleep on two consecutive days. The only files missing were the .005 files. SH 0.8.8 plotted all of the data, except for the flow rate.

Thanks for the answers about using the SD card.

I've got the latest SH downloaded and looking forward to giving it a go tomorrow.

I wonder why my machine doesn't do it?

Maybe I need to start with a fresh data card..

I have a 3 or 4 year old Dell computer running WinXP and the new version of SleepyHead works GREAT! Thank you!
If you are struggling with congestion, it helped me to add Alkalol to my daily sinus rinse. This reduced my congestion and allows me to breathe freely with my CPAP mask. CPAPtalk post about Alkalol use here: viewtopic.php?p=665255#p665255

I have only one problem with the new sleepyhead. When I click on the graphs then go back to them the time line text is garbled. Closing the program and restarting it fixes it until I click somewhere in the graphs again. I'm running 32 bit 7 on a one year old laptop, any ideas.

Garbled as in black boxes instead of text? or physically corrupted weird symbols?

Any idea what video chip is in your laptop?

I had both happen. Only happened when I was flipping through several dates back and forth.
Restart of SH did fix it. Did not happen this morning.

I got black boxes where text should be....side and bottom of graph and I also had weird symbols (same place on graph) pop up at a time when I was flipping through dates trying to duplicate the black boxes.

If I can duplicate it again I will get you a screen shot.

Edit...Cannot duplicate it at the moment. Only happened the one time. I have not got your recent fixes. This is just the original 8.8 version. I was waiting for more bug fixes before I updated it. So I have not got the changes yet.

I just started BIPAP last night after being on CPAP for about 4 years. Hoping this makes me feel better. I immediately searched out software since the ResMed S9 VPAP came with a SD card and turned to Sleepyhead. Want to log some more time before I try it, but I did download it from git and compiled it on my LinuxMint 12 partition. Seems to work but we'll see after I log more hours. Thanks Jedimark!
