Absolutely not! The fundamental purpose of this site is medical -- OSA support.
Those with an _overwhelming_ need to blab about, in sms's words, "employment, politics, spiritualism, family, sex etc" should go to sites whose purposes are exactly that.
Or see a therapist.
There are other sites specifically designed for social networking. But where else can you go to get such excellent SA advice?
Ever hear of the latest move in Western Medicine to a more Body/Mind/Spirit approach? This forum approaches that.

My sincerest apologies for the misstatement.
I was sure our paths had crossed at sleepapnea.org back in 2006, when I got into trouble for violating their guidelines.

-SWS wrote:Posters XYZ and Really_Ugly---So how do you ensure that only medical OSA discussions occur in our threads?
You can't rely on the OSA-posting public to voluntarily adhere to that---since our views drastically differ about what we need. Since when does emotional peer support not fulfill a therapeutic need among sleep disorder patients with Quality of Life issues?
I never said that. Just pointed out that there are things and places for the other interests. But I guess you could use the same method intended to make sure sure everything went into the right category.
