CPAP Machine Choices: There are many choices to make when selecting a CPAP machine. CPAP (pronounced see-pap) is an acronym for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure. The term CPAP is used two ways. One way is literal, indicating a straight CPAP machine with a constant pressure. The other way is generic, indicating two other types of PAP machines as well, including bilevel PAP (with one pressure for inhalation and one for exhalation) and auto-adjusting PAP (APAP with self-adjusting pressure based on your body’s requirements , and auto-adjusting bilevel.)
