Who Is Cygnusia?

Cygnusia was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee on March 21st, 1972. He grew up in a life around computers (specifically, old Tandy Model III's and Color Computers.) In school, he tended to keep to himself, maintaining a small circle of friends. He still very much prefers to keep himself isolated from large groups and outings, feeling that he doesn't fit in.

The College Years (or year...)

After graduating from high school, he attended Tennessee Technological University for a short time. Unfortunately, his time there was cut short due to the death of a close friend that passed on in a car accident. He still regrets dropping out of college.

Living in the Real World

Cygnusia got a lucky break when he was hired on as a graphic designer at a local company called Awardco. They screenprinted school roster mugs and steins for graduating students all across the country. The stein shown here is for the Arapahoe High School class of 2000. A few years after working under Awardco (which changed their name to Xtreme Graphic Design) the company was purchased by National Pen Corporation. The company eventually dissolved the roster mug department. Cygnusia went on to build printing templates for a high security area in the company, and later began to design catalogs and flyers for mail distribution. In 2003, his position was sent to the California facility and he was laid off.

During this time, he married his first wife. During the first year of marriage, he was admitted to the hospital for 'multiple liver abscesses.' He nearly died due to an infection running rampant in his liver, but managed to pull through after 3 weeks in the hospital. He spent the next 6 weeks working for his job out of the home, since he was restricted from going anywhere that might have people who were contagious.

Due to irreconcilable differences, he and his wife parted ways in 2004.

Life: Phase Two

During his time of unemployment, he spent time working with his father on an at-home computer building and servicing business. Dealing with an ailing heart, his father had a large backlog of computers that needed to be repaired or built. He helped out to the best of his ability.

In mid-2004, he got a job working as a graphic designer for a local newspaper. It was a fairly uneventful job.

In 2005, he married his second wife. It just so happens that they got married one day before his father went in for quadruple bypass surgery. Shortly afterwards, they found an apartment to rent in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

In 2007, they made their first huge purchase: a house. This was the first true stability that his wife ever knew because their family was in the military and moved around a lot.

In January of 2009, he was laid off from his job at the paper due to the dismal state that the newspaper industry is in. He's currently still unemployed. His marriage is still going strong, and they are expecting their first child somewhere between mid-December to early January.
