What does it hurt to take a few nights to get there?
wise words, just as I've come to expect from you

I'll set the min/max at 9/14 and see how that works for me.

Those are some cool graphics on your data. What kind of software are you using? Is it a free version or what came with your machine? I found out last weekend when I received my titration report in the mail that I'll me making the move from a CPAP to a BIPAP due to a pressure increase.

tha'ts sleepyhead, nothing comes with the machines, sleepyhead is free. read the top post stickied on the forum, pugsy's pointers about sleepyhead.

there's no reason to have a sad face about a BILEVEL machine.

I posted the sad face because right now it looks like my DME will be issuing me a "fixed" BIPAP machine instead of an "auto" BIPAP machine after so many members on this board have previously stated that I should try and get an "auto" machine. That's the reason for the face. About that free software; what kind of an OS will I need on my computer to make it work? Will an OS of WIN Vista be fine or will I need a more updated OS like WIN 7 or WIN 8?

SleepyHead works just fine on Windows Vista. No need to do anything with your computer.

yup, we ALL leak, especially episodically, but newbies especially dont realize how much bad
data is caused not by system or pressure setting but by LEAK rate.

Well I bumped it up to 9/14 and this morning my AHI was 5 so we are making progress. I'll post the data once I get home from work.

Might as well do the 10 minimum and 15 maximum and see what happens. That should get you closer to what we would like to see. After that if further increases are warranted I would do 0.5 cm at a time and probably suggest giving each setting 3 or 4 days to establish a pattern. When we get close like you are getting...I like to go up in even smaller increments and give the settings 3 or 4 days (at least) to see how things trend. It is possible to have fluke bad nights (been there and done that often myself) and we could easily be chasing our tails if we continually make changes and those changes are based on random fluke "off" nights. That's why we say to give a change a few nights to make sure what we are seeing isn't a fluke bad night.

Up to you of choice how you want to proceed though.

Did you wake up at 5:00AM and then fall back asleep?

I'll do the 10/15 and do that for a few nights and keep everyone posted.

Thanks for all the help/advice.

I would just like to let everyone know that the user nfredrick86, bought my CPAP, and paid for half.. and never paid for the other half. I don't know what to do about it other than to let everyone know not to deal with him or help him because he is a lying ass hole.

This is where I shipped it to. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated. He hasn't paid the other half for the unit ($125) in a few months.

While I am no criminal mastermind, I find it odd that he would post a picture of himself if he had intentions of robbing you. He has probably fallen on hard times. Thou that's no excuse for stiffing someone
