This interface looks very interesting, particularly in its ability to function as an oral interface without the need for the cumbersome FF. Also of interest is its usefulness for those folks that have some mouth breathing problems but like the nasal/sinus blast pillows provide.

My one question would be about side sleeping. It looks like it sticks out quite a bit and the interface connections might dig in and push the mask around on some of us side sleepers. I'll be interested in hearing how it works for side sleeping. It may be just in time for allergy season this fall which is the time I may be most confronted with a need for a FF.

According to the Hudson website, Hudson is the manufacturer. Teleflex International is the parent company and Teleflex Medical is a distribution company, mostly for surgical products. Hudson is the respiratory products company and the new mask is listed on Hudson's website. So they ought to know about. It is thier product.

Put my pre-order in at CPAP.com. $180 but better than the $209 list price. says it will ship 6/26. Will let you know how it goes.

My question on this thing is, I haven't yet seen a pic with headgear attached. It describes the headgear as having 5 points of adjustability -- I'm guessing the four points where it hooks to the mask plus the back?

Also, they're calling the lower bit a 'chin flap', but it doesn't look very 'flappy' to me -- looks like it just fits over the mouth and seals around it... wish I had $180 bucks to spring for one.

Check out the video referenced above in this thread and all your questions will be answered. Except how to break loose $180 from the family budget.

CPAP.com is taking pre-orders and they have the videos which show the headgear and how to adjust it. Just type hybrid in the search box at CPAP.com.

Mikemoran, do you know if CPAP.com takes insurance or is it cash only? I called my local outlet and although they have nasal aire II, they do not have any new Hudson CPAP masks at all. All I got was a "we'll look into it for you".

Where is the fellow that was able to con a free sample by saying he was a doctor? why does he not give us a little feedback ?

Zook,

Check out billmyinsurance.com and see if they can help you with re-imbursement. I went out of pocket because I am a mask junkie and Kaiser won't support my habit

I have light beard, it works for me. There is a little leak if the lower straps are not tightened enough but I got it to work.
