Resmed S9 problems

Post by Jefflb » Sun Feb 02, 2014 10:02 pm

I have tried to find an answer to my question online without success so I am hoping you all can help. Tonight, I woke up to the sensation that I was not getting any, or enough, air. I checked, and sure enough my cpap was not running. I reached over an pressed the power button thinking I might have turned it off in my sleep. Nothing happened. I looked over and found that the power button was flashing green and I could not get anything to come up on the screen. While I was looking online I heard my machine kick back on. So I went back to bed but within minutes it happened again; no air, green light on power button flashing, no response from the machine. I cannot find anything online about this. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

Have you checked that everything is plugged in firmly? You can try unplugging from the outlet and waiting a few minutes, then replug again to reset the machine.

If you can get a hold of another power brick to try would be worth the effort. See if your DME has one he can lend you or take the machine to him.

Do you have it plugged into a surge protector strip?
Have you tried a different outlet? Maybe even on a different circuit.

Also, have you checked/changed the filters lately? (in case they may be obstructed and it's causing the machine to overheat)

S9 had previously little problem with the heated hose, software errors.

Thank you all for the input. I had already tried most of the suggestions except the power strip. I have had it plugged into a power strip for months with no problems until last night. I gave it a try and plugged it into a regular outlet and I had no problems for the rest of the night. Hope this is the trick but only time will tell. Thanks again for the help everyone and sleep tight.
