Perhaps we would quickly learn that some of the sessions need to be hours long so the person can practice with the machine in class. Then, at least, the people who respond to the issues that would come up in the data would have something familiar to recommend to the person when they followup.

No, people need to do their home work, every day. And keep doing it every day to make it work. Just doing it in class is not effective. Like learning any sport or artistic technique just doing it in class will get you nowhere.

Eating well, moving well, CPAP acclimation time, eucapnic breathing training, meditation for stress management, etc...

I guess what we really need are some very good forms of motivation. Motivation is often the key.
May any shills trolls sockpuppets or astroturfers at cpaptalk.com be like chaff before the wind!

But then how do I KNOW you'll put me on your foe list and/or not read my posts? IMO most people just use "I'm going to put you on my foe list!" as a meaningless threat and read the posts anyway (because EVERYBODY slows down to look at the car wreck and hopes to see blood and body parts as they drive by).

You don't since this would be my first time using the foe's list.

Look, at this point, I really don't care whether you register or not.

Y'know, indecision is a hallmark sign of depression.

And with the holidays coming up and all...

BTW, what are you getting me for Christmas?

I would (most respectfully) disagree. Most to all of his posts and comments are discouraging in nature ("Hey, statistics show you're going to fail, so why even try? It's all a plot by (CPAP manufacturers, sleep laboratories, the government, the Venutians, etc.").

Typical approach by someone with low self-esteem ("I can't build myself up, so instead I'll tear you down! It's all your fault anyway!").

BTW, the most obvious fault with this thread's logic is that weight loss maintenance statistics are FAR worse than CPAP compliance. So here comes the straw man.
