So someone deleted my post and the one I answered - I basically said that we needed peer reviewed academic studies before recommending a dangerous chemical.

The good thing, you can choose to ignore know rules, and mother nature will use natural solection to sort it out. Jim

The bad thing from the looks of our world, natural selection runs a too slow. They are breeding too fast for natural selection to keep up, not enough people drinking from their hoses, and riding on gravel roads in the back of pick-up trucks, drinking and driving without seat belts.

If "germs" in the water are a concern for a user, one can empty the reservoir every morning and start with fresh distilled water for each session rather than adding peroxide to "old water." Distilled water is not expensive; furthermore, after a couple of days' observation it's pretty easy to gauge how much you need to put in the tank for one night.

There is no reason to be adding stuff to your water.

It appears to be irritating to mucous membranes so I wouldn't use it.
There is a food grade hydrogen peroxide available at many health food stores and there is a lot of fad use of it.
It is claimed to cure everything from bad breath to cancer.

This is a quote from Snopes on a couple of fad uses going around.
"Two additional health-related uses for hydrogen peroxide should also be examined, even though neither of them was mentioned in this list of tips: injecting and swallowing hydrogen peroxide. While such treatments do have their advocates (who in turn claim such dosings will cure everything from AIDS to cancer), both uses amount to quackery. The proponents of "oxygen therapy" assert they are boosting the body's ability to destroy disease-causing cells, but there is no medical proof to support such use. Moreover, according to the American Cancer Society (ACS), both such uses are dangerous. "

If you go to the Snopes web site and do a search you can find a list of things it is claimed to be good for.

Whether you do or don't add it to your CPAP is up to you but make sure you do the research on it before you use it or slam it's uses.
And you have no idea of what it is doing to your lungs. Provide a peer reviewed academic article on it or shut up.

Hmmm no wonder people delete your posts, your rudeness is only exceeded by your stupidy.

I agree with her. There's no valid reason to put anything but distilled water in the humidifier tank.

And, you can't even spell "STUPIDITY".
