It does not necessarily help anything if you're on Cpap and can actually interfere with its efficacy, apart from affecting your system that doesn't need it (until a doctor says it does after diagnosing ... whatever... based on testing, etc. It may feel great one time, but that's not the same as going on it routinely when you otherwise don't NEED it for a specific condition (and I don't mean the odd de-sat event). If it was such a great idea, we'd all be on it!
I'm not sure where you're coming from. It seems to me that you are making Olympic leaps to conclusions.

1) I did say that I would talk to my sleep doctor about O2.

2) As many people point out, everyone is different. That's why we're not all "on it".

3) My very positive reaction to the O2 given by the EMS people was an indication that I would function better with more oxygen than I am getting now. I plan to get my pulse ox checked today or tomorrow and make an appointment with my sleep doc (who is also certified as a pulmonologist) ASAP.

You're free to assume I'm an idiot, but FYI i come from a literal working lifetime in research depts of teaching hospitals, most of those in neurology, some in respirology. And remind me not to share them with you next time you ask for help.
