I just said check with the post office to see how long it will take to arrive but now I understand that won't work.rosacer wrote:Pugsy,
I don't know what to think about the TAP PAP. I don't know why I can't sleep anymore on my back. The moment I'm starting to doze I start mouth farting and I roll to one side or to the belly .
My pressure is now only 6.6 cmH2O, when it was 10 or more I was able to keep the mouth shut but not now. That's the reason why I'm not 100% sure. I appreciate a TON your offer of help you are a sweet
I'm maybe crazy but I'm still hoping I can get rid of the machine I have a sleep test in December. If I sleep without the machine I wake up with a small dizziness and not as refreshed as when I use the machine. It makes me think I'm still making apenas or hypopneas in some extent, that's why I'm considering to try the TAP PAP but not sure.
The tooth pain is almost gone. It is due to fact that for a crazy reason some times I clinch the teeth. I have used a mouth guard, I have a thin one made by the dentist but I don't use it, I used also the sport mouth guard and I was able to sleep with it.
I let you know if I decide I want to try the TAP PAP. I know once one box arrived in one week but it always depends on the hands of whom it falls arriving to customs because it has also happens that the box stays one week at customs.

Pugsy I only wanted to make you laugh a bit but I'm sure you can decipher that camera instructions you are the Queen of instructions I'm sure !
I contacted cpap.com to ask how it would work the insurance for me here in Canada and the only thing I was able to have clarified from the dear lady who answers was:
a) the mask needs to be back in 30 days max
b) It cost $17 shipping, (I knew it no need to have it told again thanks)
c) they don't know how much time does it takes to arrive here
Wonderful useless information = USELESS INSURANCE for me because if she doesn't know how many days/weeks does it takes to arrive here it will take the same amount of unknown days/weeks to be back there. What will happen if the mask arrives after 30 days? I need to pay a third shipping to make it come back to me because they don't take it back? Funny, very funny
I think I'm not ready to buy that mask even if I would like to try it, BUMMER
Could you contact your post office to find out how long it will take for shipping? They should be able to give you an answer.
I think they could be a bit more flexible when they know somebody is buying from Canada, we are not in Timbuktu in any case.

I have already ask and they answer 2 or 3 weeks. I will need to decide if I want it or not and bite the bullet as if the insurance doesn't exist, that's it.

Re: NEW, IMPROVED TAP PAP MOUTHPIECE!
I finally got a chance to pick up my packages at the Post Office which were my new Tap Pap mouthpiece, and additional mask. Prior to picking it up, it dawned on my that my new mask might come with the old style mouthpiece. Happily, I was wrong, well right and wrong. They did send the Rev. 1 mouthpiece, but included the new one in the box. Now, I've got four mouthpieces! Two old and two new.
I tried the new one with my nap. I've got to work on the hold its got on my teeth. I could hardly remove it, so I've got to do the wiggle move once I heat it again. I like the new design much better.

Re: NEW, IMPROVED TAP PAP MOUTHPIECE!
Oh geez...now I think I'm going to have to break down and order this. I've been resisting it because my DME doesn't carry it (and apparently for some odd reason can't order it--but I really LIKE my DME otherwise). I'll have to pay completely out of pocket for it...but as much as I love the Bella loops, I do wake up at night feeling my ears being a little crinked and hurting.
As a survivor of childhood braces and retainers in the 1960s and 1970s, I doubt I'll have any problems with the mouthpiece.
Weezy

Re: NEW, IMPROVED TAP PAP MOUTHPIECE!
I bought the new mouth piece but I wish the space between the nares was a bit wider. I guess I have a broader nose than most.
My pillows really need to be a bit farther apart.
