Do you need a new camera ?
Camera is great...user is not so great.
It doesn't help that I tend to shake a bit whenever I am trying to be real still.
The camera will do stuff that I have no idea what all it means...way above my skill level. I have to let it auto adjust and go with what I get.

Sometimes, locking focus on a flat object (dummy, or stand-in) the average distance,
and then pulling the dummy subject away before taking the shot can help. (Takes at least 2 hands)
Yeah, I could tell that the auto focus was having problems but I have no idea what to do to fix the issue.
Instead we just roll with what I got...it gives a good enough idea anyway.
Main thing that is easily seen would be the absence of the material behind the front teeth. Those people who already have the mouth guard can easily see what will be gone. The overall thinner thing is not so easily seen in pictures but once you have it in your hands and mouth then you will feel the difference.
Maybe today I will boil the old one and do my planned butcher job on it. It should be fairly easy to cut while still clear and pliable if I work quickly.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
