One. I guess a backup would be good, but I can only use one at a time!

Please don't ask me how many masks, though I'm the original "mask slut".

Most majority of people polled own more than one machine. The non bilevel users are on APAP mode with ramp turned off and exhale relief on or CPAP mode with ramp turned off and exhale relief on.

That is what the results say....
I still say.."who cares how many machines people have?" . Why is that important?
Maybe it isn't. I think this is more of a social poll along the lines of "what do you fill your humidifier tank with?"

It does make me wonder if I'm living on the edge without a backup machine. I only have one machine myself.

I have one. No insurance and can't afford the nose pillows at 24 dollars each. I feel like if I buy supplies, I am taking food off the table but if I don't I am killing myself. Is this the good feeling I am supposed to get from Obamacare? I can't get insurance now that I had to discontinue it because it cost 1000 a month with 5000 deductible per year. Once diagnosed with sleep apnea the insurance companies are not insuring if you don't have insurance and keep it.

Be glad if you have good insurance and make sure you get your supplies when you can.

I don't have insurance that pays for cpap supplies, etc either, but I have bartered, traded and gotten tons of help from forum members... AND I AM TRULY GRATEFUL FELLOW HOSERS!!!!!!

I have three.

1. My old M series with faulty wiring, can use as backup but I MUST unplug after use at night, it overheats when not in use & plugged in (as I said faulty wiring)
2. Icon from last Oct - still a workable backup
3. My PR S1 560 & I LOVE IT!

Also, my hubby has his PR S1 560 so we each technically have a back up. To set either of my old machines for his use means I need to get a clinicians manual to reset for his pressure. Glad someone thought this thread up, it reminds me I need to set up one of my old machines for hubby in case of emergency. Thanks for triggering my thought to do that.

Now, anyone have a link to a clinicians manual for the ICON Premo?

Jen

A dozen or so. What a crazy hobby this turned into, for me.

Hahaha! I contemplated voting in that category, too! Decided to not check it since I've actually turned loose of quite a few machines in years past... donating them to people who needed them. As I know you've also done, Den.

I'm just glad the poll wasn't about "How many types of tape have you tried?"

I have three right now, but when I finally catch up with my brother AND remember, I am giving him one of my M-Series Auto's as a back up/travel machine.

I have two. Both ASVs, though of a discontinued model. Hey, they were the latest thing when I got them!

I had the one my insurance paid for.

Given that Apria CANNOT get an order right, I did not want to risk having my machine die and them take ten days to two weeks to get another one in. My pain levels will NOT tolerate it.

So when an ASV came up on the now-sadly-deceased CPAPAuction, I grabbed it. It was a brand new machine. I use it periodically to be sure it still works -- I think it has less than 100 hours on it, while my primary machine has well over 10,000 hours.

I am due for a new primary machine this year. I'll probably go looking for a new-model ASV for back-up and then see if there is someone who needs either of mine.

I only voted to get a cupcake. Any left?
Only one machine for me as I am just starting out. I do a lot of camping out at my property in the mountains, so I definitely see a traveler/backup machine in my future.
