I personally enjoy your posts (whether they are serious, humourous or a combination of the two)! Keep them coming!

Lazer,
Like I said in your Happy Birthday thread: "I glad you are part of this 'hose head' community! I really like your posts and sense of humor; they are never dull/boring ". Please don't change a thing about how, when, and what you post. Also, do as some of the others have said and be sure to contact Carolyn Goodman so she can address the person who has the itchy spam button finger and no sense of humor .

lazer, your humor may be off-color at times and may be offputting to some, but it is never at the expense of another forum member. It is never abusive or demeaning toward another person here -- I respect you for that. Well, that and the fact that you show us real men do wear pink.

I like how the mouse's fur closely matches the cat's fur, suggesting that they are members of the same family despite being different species.MyIdaho wrote:Geez Lazer,
Forget all that.... What about us cat lovers? Ya know, no self respecting kitty would allow a mouse to bounce on his belly like that... Would never do... Please stop or I will have to report you to the Society for Prevention of False Cat Imagery or something or other... LOL!

Hi Lazer,
Even though you and I have had our disagreements, I would never in a million years delete your posts. Censorship is wrong, wrong, wrong.
I hope you get some answers from Carolyn Goodman.

Re: OT: Why am I being censored and my posts disappearing?
Well, "IMHO" you could handle in this in one of two ways:
- Make a list of the 5 most important things to you. If any of the issues you describe in your post are on the list, take a 24 oz ball peen hammer in both hands, whack yourself in the head a few times and rewrite the list.
- Accept the fact that life follows the 80-20 (give or take) Rule. In this case, 80% of the people will like you, 20% of them will not.
- It may be easier to accept #2 if you realize that 80-20 says that it would take 80% of your energy to make the 20% like you. That energy would force this initiative into the Top 5 on the Priority List. If so, repeat the Ball Peen Hammer Procedure.
- The most efficient way to deal with the 20% (if at all) is simply to tell them to jump up and (Dori stop reading!!) GFTs, because that's their problem, not yours.

It's sad if you are being targeted by one person. I can understand your frustration. IMO - it has everything to do with their issues and not you.
Having been around chat forums for a long long time, there are always a few people like this.
I enjoy reading your posts and I feel you have a positive impact on helping newcomers.

I have an answer for you Lazer. Maybe someone did a search on "men + pink" and decided to have it in for you ever since

Piglet, the Newbie-- says that she hasn't seen anyone else get a Happy Birthday wishes list that went on for at least 2+ pages of good wishes--
I had noticed lately we were a bit "light on Lazer" and was wondering why. I also agree with you that political bashing -non related to CPAP gets wearing after-say-3+ pages - or Twinkie whining. I do enjoy group bonding topics like "where do we work" or live. I think those topics tend to bring in new, shy or mostly readers to participate as posters and to see that their comments are appreciated. This community is being so supportive of me while I am learning. Since humor is my coping mechanism in all high stress- even how I managed to waddle through some goofy nursing situations and my own health difficulties, I NEED to be able to be a bit daft and hope that those around me understand. It's delightful for me to be able to laugh just when I am frustrated to the max.
Thanks Lazer, Bugsy, Kitty, Mousy and whatever other unexpected arrival--
Lynda

Re: OT: Why am I being censored and my posts disappearing?
Howdy,
I just saw this post.
Lazer - I went into the posts identified as SPAM and found your most recent that was removed and restored it. I am contacting the person who identified it as SPAM, I am guessing it was a mistake.
I can promise you this was not an act by an admin. If I edit anything on the board it is a rarity and I leave a note explaining what action I took and why. If I receive complaints about another CPAPtalker, I generally contact that person directly.
In general:
1) If any one thinks a post of theirs was removed, please contact me. If it was in the past few days it is easy for me to check and get it back. If it was later it is removed from my admin and I have to have a developer dig and search for it.
2) If you identify something as SPAM that is not SPAM, you generally loose your SPAM button.

Thanks to all the well wishes and whatnot. - support...
In lieu of what is going on, I think it's best I take a break from posting for a bit at this point.
If nothing else, the folk(s) that deem my posting style and content inappropriate will get a break from their moderation roles and can move on to something more productive.

Lazer, I rarely comment on the 'flavour' of other's posts, but I so enjoy your 'edgy' retorts, so please don't go away for too long.

Lazer... the 80-20 applies to all of us. It's pretty good odds to me.
