I have Tapatalk 2.4.13 on my Samsung tablet. I just checked and a box to write and send a PM pops up when I touch a member icon on a topic discussion page. I haven't tried using it but it looks like it's is available.

I have the same show up on my devices, but when I actually attempt to send the PM, that is when the error pops up.

I am pretty certain it is due to the old/expired version of the Tapatalk plug-in installed on this phpBB-powered site.

OK, I see. I got it also when I tried to send a test msg to you.

I don't think Tapatalk PM's ever worked on this message board:

The issue is due to an incompatibility with the client version and the server (Tapatalk plugin for phpBB) version.

This site is running version 3.3.1 of the Tapatalk plugin, which was released July 15, 2012. This can be seen/verified here: cpaptalk version

There have been 13 releases/updates of the plugin since then See Tapatalk plugin for phpBB release history here: Tapatalk for phpBB release history

The current release of the Tapatalk plug-in for phpBB is 4.0.0, released August 12, 2013. I am fairly certain once the server-side plugin is updated, the error (which does appear to have been happening for a long time) will go away. I have PM'd one of our excellent hosts/admins (Johnny) with the details.

We have upgraded TapATalk. Per Sam:

"I think that newer versions of tapatalk have resolved this.

I sent you a PM through tapatalk, and I can see it in my "outbox".

This can probably be closed." -Sam

Please let me know if this fixes the issues you experienced.
