Regarding PMs via Tapatalk, I have that same problem

Looking at phpBB for an answer, I can see that most forums don't have that problem. I didn't discover an answer, but I think the version of phpBB we're using is a bit dated, and that could be the issue. That's "I think" because I am guessing based on the copyright years...

Still having this problem on my iPhone.....can't send PM's. Get the SQL Error.

Posting in the forum works fine, but answering (or posting) a PM doesn't work with Tapatalk on Android either. I suspect it's due to a change from the standard defaults in how CPAPtalk implements their PM system. But hey, I can handle most everything on my phone, so it's not a big issue.

Ironic! I love it. But with the exception of the PM feature, it works well.

Yeah what is even more amazing is the fact that you get many other forums readily available. This is much more convenient then doing google searches for forums

Howdy,

I've ticketed for the PM bug to be researched and will update the thread when I know whose side the error is on. Judging from that SQL, I'm guessing ours.

Bump. Just wondering if there is a status on this. Tapatalk has been wonderful for me but not being able to reply to private messages is a little bit difficult.

Thanks!

I don't do a lot online with my phone.
The touch screen is not compatible with a hand tremor.
Just makes me want to cuss.

I hear ya! I use the little microphone feature and speak rather than trying to type. It works really well for me.

Hmm, I might have to try it.
I wonder how speech recognition works with excessive vocabulary disorder?

I just started using the microphone to speak for emails, texts and writing posts. My daughter is a big "texter" and trying to keep up with her using my fingers was exhausting. While not perfect, and some of what it types is hilarious, it does save a ton of typing. I always go back and read everything again to make sure it's accurate. It's helped me a LOT with being able to do things from my chair when I don't have access to a keyboard.

I read PM's from my phone frequently (my phone alerts me for emails, new posts & PMs) but if I want to respond immediately, I have to either grab my Kindle Fire (and do the hunt & peck bit with that) or get on a computer with a keyboard. It would be really nice to be able to respond to a PM and use the microphone to speak it.

I did a little searching and it looks like this bug can be resolved by updating the Tapatalk plug-in on this site to the latest version
