Still same data as I listed before ... I found the "reset data" in the clinicians menu under info, but when I click on it it doesn't do anything ... Did not find anything about a time setting ...
Reset may require you to hold the wheel and the ramp button for 5 seconds until it clicks.

I don't think there's any time setting at all in the provider menu on PRS1.
Yup, that did it!

Now everything set back to 0 (except total machine hours, still stuck at 30.0 hrs)

I'll try it again tonight!

Not for the vast majority of PR S1 machines but there were some that had the option for "Offset GMT" zone thing. I have seen it in some manuals and it was mentioned here on the forum way back in early 2010. I think it was something that quickly came and went.

I'm pretty sure Total Machine Hours cannot be changed, that would be like resetting the mileage back on your truck.

Your right but wrong!

My company tried to tell me that when I was in for my oil change at 50,000 miles, (actually was 51,XXX since last one!) that I did not need one as I only had only 26,XXX on my truck total! I told them that it was changed at 72,XXX in Fontana, CA at their terminal there. And he looked it up and said yes I see that done in Dec 2011, but the computer says it only has 26,XXX now! I told him to step up and look at my odometer ... It read 123,XXX! Did they really think I had been driving backwards for the last six months!

Only idiots I work with/for ...

But what is strange is that it only shows an increase in total machine hours of 0.1 hours since I bought it ... And I've run it more than 5.5 hours ...

Here is how I have it set up for now, till I can get home and make a more secure place to strap it down, I plan to put it on a piece of lexan, on top of a soft piece of foam to absorb some of the bumps of traveling ...

With my hose holder ... I can roll around quite abit without any trouble !

My wife picked up my two sleep study reports today, and if she is reading it right, and/or I'm hearing/interpretating it right they started me out at 4cm, but went as high as only 7cm but did not see much if any difference ... Seems kinda low from what I'm seeing on this APAP ...

Are both Auto Off and Auto On enabled by any chance? If you had a large leak during the night, it might have shut off on you...
When in doubt, open the case. Remember: If you can't open it, you don't own it!

Prescribed APAP range - 6-10 cm/H2O, titrated at 8.
Current range - 9.0-11.5 cm/H2O - still searching for the magic "zero night" but averaging 2.2 AHI

Only Auto On is enabled, Auto Off is "Off" just wanted to make sure that it would stay going ... Sounds silly to me to have an auto off, so once I stop breathing ... My machine won't help anymore but turn off while I die! I'm sure that is not the intent, but just hard for me to turn that feature on, when all I gotta do is push one button to turn it off, and even if I did accidentally turn it off by hitting the button, auto on should turn it back on for me!

Well ... It's time for me to hit the hay and try it again! Nighty-night!

That is exactly how you want it. You are doin fine young man.

Sweet Dreams.

ps. do NOT worry if you can't sleep thru the nite yet. That is not unusual, it does take time to get used to sleeping with plastic on your face and the wind blowing. Do just like you did last nite, roll over and go back to sleep then try it again tomorrow.

It helps to keep a notebook - write what went good, what needs to be improved on, and how you feel. Writing your settings in there is also a good idea and things like the machine hrs., cost, etc.

fwiw - it took me about a month to be able to sleep thru the nite. About a year before I got my therapy right but then I had to fail the cpap and move to BiPap. Plus it took me about 6 months to find this site. You are light years ahead of where I was.

Today I will NOT sleep w/o it.

Last night:

After my last post I walked into the shop, and told the foreman that I was going to bed, and that I didn't want to be disturbed ... He said that I had five trucks ahead of me, so it would be awhile, I told him that I could not be disturbed, and that my truck would have to wait till morning, he suggested that I go and park across the street, where the mechanic might not look, I explained to him that I was just starting therapy for sleep apnea, and I needed my sleep, he told me that I was in the system, and the only way I could get out of line for shop work was for the mechanic to not find me, unfortunately the guard would not let me leave, as I have a "shop hold" on my truck!

I went to bed about 9:15 only took me about 20 minutes to go to sleep, woke up just after 11 an pee'd, then was woken up at 12:45 by a mechanic pounding on my sleeper to wake me up, I took my mask off and told him I was sleeping, and that he could not have my truck, just like I told the shop foreman, he said that he would tell his boss ... Surprisingly, Praise the Lord! I re-masked and fell asleep in less than 10 minutes! Woke up just after 4 took the mask off (it was hurting the bridge of my nose) and went back to sleep for an hour. So over 6.5 hours on the hose! No problems with leaks bothering me, I think I'll try loosing it up one click at the top turn dial and see how it works ...

What is strange, sorta ... Is when I woke up at 4 I did not have a headache, but when I got up an hour later, I did have a headache! Prior I would wake up with a headache only 2-3 times per month ...

Right now my machine is not showing me any data, guess it needs it's rest too!

The display does NOT how realtime data and needs time before it even calculates it, maybe an hour after shutting it OFF.

As for the headaches - could it be that before the first wake you were not having apneas but by the 2nd you were?

Don't forget to write in your notebook

OK, I went for a walk, and had breakfast, I just checked my machine, I guess it is not an early bird!

It is now showing the following:

Therapy 7 day avg : 6:12
Blower total hrs : 6.4
Days>4 : 1
Large Leak 7 day avg : 0%
AHI 7 day avg : 6.1
Periodic breathing 7 day avg : 3%
90% pressure 7 day avg : 7.0
Total Machine hours 36.4

I think I'm gonn bump my settings up a tad to 7.5 - 13

I don't know where it was b4.

I just wanted to say NOT to rely on the display for your leak info - you WILL need the software for leaks info. Once you dl you will see that 0 can be a significant leak.

Just for clarity Gumby ... I did not have any headaches while hooked up, but only sometime in that last hour or so of sleeping without the machine I acquired a headache ... Yes, it is possible that if I had kept the mask on, I would not have a headache.

I just tried the sd card in my laptop again, and it does not even see it, I'm gonna bet the card reader of my old laptop is on permanent vacation! I only have it in the truck to read my SP02 every once in awhile ... But figure I'll try using the mask by its self till I get a bit more use to it, kinda like the sleep study where there is so much different, it makes it hard to adjust, so one thing at a time ...

ETA:

Gumby, while I was typing on my iPhone I see you posted ...

I was set at 6-12 last night

Just as long as you feel comfy at that pressure- no it's not unreasonable IMO. But you will soon need to find out where your leaks are at.

o and making the mask too tight not only hurts it will cause leaks.
