I've got to share another trick I did last night to solve the leaks into the eyes.
Frog is right - make sure straps are not too tight.
What I did last night was to pull it down my nose. It felt like it was only resting on the very tip, but the upper part of the mask (when inflated) was sitting a tad bit then half way up my nose. The leaks stopped immediately. I was trying to force it so close to my face that I wasn't letting the air/hover thing do it's job!

I went to bed at 9:30 pm and woke up at 11am! No tossing and turning. No fiddling with the mask. No waking up and dozing again. Just slept straight thru. What a fabulous night of sleep!!!

Hi, Chunky Frog! I am happy to hear your so-far good report on the elan! I ordered one this week and it should be here either today or tomorrow. I am psyched to try it....

Thanks,
Jillian

Yes, you are right ChunkyFrog, I should charge them, and let them know that I am aware they are trying to get rid of old stock. The guy that use to fit masks for me,( letting me try on as many as I wanted,) the head of therapists there, the other gal that helped with fittings, and the receptionist have all left this DME and told me that the warehouse thing was going to start and they would only be sending out masks from now on. That's why they all left to sell other medical equipment. I will call my insurance company today and let them know this is unexceptable to me and they need to find another source for me to get my supplies. May not happen but I will not tolerate this kind of abuse of my $$$, end of rant!

Well said!
FWIW, some folks have actually sent their doctor a bill after being forgotten
in the waiting room for an hour or two.
In a hospital, it's lawyer time!

Got my elan yesterday. Did not have time to fiddle much with it, nor to watch the DVD yet. I did try it on and it seemed to seal acceptably, but then when I went to bed and put it on, it was leaking somewhat into my eyes and my tweaking made it worse, so I put my usual mask back on and will try again this weekend, viewing the DVD first. And perhaps reviewing these posts once again.

Thanks to all for sharing their experience!
Jillian
