We host a program for teachers during the summer where I work and one year three teachers from the same school about 4 hours from here insisted they had sent their money. We had not gotten it and the deadline is June 1. The checks showed up in our mail in October with a May postmark. Since that time I've tried to be more sympathetic about people who send things that don't arrive as soon as I think they should.

Peoples--

I just got my pillows in the mail (still I never got an email). What else can I say except sorry for calling the dude a shyster. Hopefully Mike's will be arriving soon.

Like I said..."benefit of the doubt" ...sometimes it takes mail longer to get from one place to another, or the op didn't get his parcel into the mail as fast as you did.

This should be a lesson here. I thought it was a given but everyone who trades should pay EXTRA and get a tracking number. That way I could have seen where my package was.

I have lost my faith with Paypal AND Ebay for that matter. I won a Paypal dispute yet could not recover the lost money. So what good is that?

Paypal is only effective IF both parties are honest. Do NOT reply on Paypal to resolve disputes. IF it doesn't feel right just do NOT do it.

Well, I have to eat a small amount of crow. I just received my medium pillow. BUT, there is a caveat to that.

The pillow that I was supposed to receive was to be a new and unopened medium. The one I got was a medium pillow in a large baggie so it has obviously been opened and handled so I don't even know if I can use it. And It was, according to his messages, shipped on June 1st. However, according to the post mark he didn't actually ship it out until June 4th. Which, incidentally, is the same day that he received the one that I sent to him. So, what I think happened is that he waited to make sure that he actually received a pillow before shipping one. I can understand that. But what I can't understand is being deliberately deceptive about it. If he had just said that he wanted to do that upfront, I would have said, "no problem."

I've done a few trades in the past, all without mishap. And I also just concluded the sale of my first S8 AutoSet II to a fellow cpaptalker; smooth transaction.

On the other hand, one cannot forget the dramatic experience I had with getting backup S8 AutoSet II from a fellow cpaptalker two years ago.

It's really hit and miss.

Fortunately someone nearby is also a Headrest user and needs the large size whereas I use the medium size. So we meet up once every 6 months at the neighborhood bakery to do a swap [*]

Just sanitize your new pillow and it should be good to go.

If it were me, I would change the subject line on this thread to read: I MADE A MISTAKE or something along that line.

I have done a few things on the exchange. I just send what I have and have not expected anything in return. Several have reimbursed the postage to me and it is appreciated.

I just had a similar issue with someone on ebay. I now realize to never order cpap products on there again. I ordered "new" mirage liberty pillows at what seemed like a decent price. I received the pillows in a ziplock baggie and not in original manufacturers packaging. I questioned the guy and he said he gets them in bulk but I could send them back. I was too lazy to do so at first. The first night I tried using one of them I noticed it smelled like WD40 and it was leaky. New pillows never leak in my experience. I boiled it to see what that would do and the smell was still there. I just mailed back the unused ones to this seller and I know he got them yesterday. I'mgiving him 24 hours to refund me or I will start disputing and publicly tearing this guy a new ass----.
