It's a disease I tell you. It's called who is going to get one first!

I think it's a sign that we're all desperate to find the right mask and it is not easy. You would think the manufacturers would do a better job of researching what works. We're only one step ahead of using an iron lung.

I agree because once we've conquered the Aloha, we'll be on to the next new mask!

I bet each one of us knows what the ideal mask would be for. If only we could get all the parts put together. We need custom made masks with all of our favourite traits.

I got my Aloha today. It took me over an hour to tweak. Then I washed it. First night will be tomorrow, Thursday night.
I have it set up to sit on my face like the Swift FX for Her.

While reading this thread, I got lost on the concept of "O rings". Can you please clarify?

I am still having great success with the Aloha, adjusted the pillows and I think I found the right position for me. I love the headgear, but I do think that the connector piece to the long hose should be curved up, instead of straight out from the short hose. I route over head and it makes it pull in a strange angle, anyone else have this problem? And have you found a better way to route the long hose?

I use a hose buddy https://www.cpap.com/productpage/HoseBu ... ystem.html and have no problems with the short or long hose. I like the ball concept that it uses on the short hose a lot better than the way the Swift FX is.

Sleepy, right now I'm on Bi-pap but my normal auto pressure is set at 12/20. Most nights I would hang at about 16. I've lost some weight, however, so i's probably a bit less. Most pillows will blow right right off my nose and I'm not above using a band-aid to secure a pillow, but there's been no need for that with this mask. I can't wait for the wife to be able to use her new one. She has sinusitis right now with an ear infection so she's still on her full face.

And here's my Arden:

https://www.cpap.com/productpage/flexib ... -lift.html

The main picture with all that other cpap equipment is confusing. It's just a well-constructed blue polished metal collapsible (for travel) stick which swivels. Look at the other pictures below the main photo. I put the "foot" platform under the mattress at the head of the bed, not the side. And the little hook to hang my mask and chinstrap on during the daytime is handy and keeps things looking organized.

Sometimes I use it and other times I prefer to let the hose lay flat on the bed.

I don't think I was clear in my post about the short hose coupling, On the Aloha, with that little strap band that the short hose sits in, and velcros on to the top strap,, it juts the short hose straight back, so if I hang my hose on my iron head board about two feet above my head it pulls on the short hose. Do you use that small velcro piece to secure the short hose to the top strap when you are routing overhead, or just let is loose and hang from the long hose which is on the management system?

I've been playing with the overhead hose routing too. What arrangement(s) have you found worked well for you?
Thanks.

I just let mine hang loose and it attaches to the hose coming down from the hose buddy. Can't stand a hose attached to my strap on the mask.

Ah, Squid13, I thought that was the way you were using the short hose! I did attempt to use it without attaching it to the top of the headgear, but I sleep on my stomach and it really pulled the mask out of place as I turn my head from side to side while on my stomach. I will try unhooking it again tonight and see how I can manage it. All of the over head masks I've ever had stayed attached to the top of the headgear ie. breeze, comfort lite I and II.

I don't like "over the head" and certainly not attached to the top of the strap.
Never have like it with any of my masks. I might bring the hose around the top of the pillow but it is laying on the bed.. I use the small buckwheat pillow..low and flat...hose never gets caught on it.
