Sleepyhead Graphs Gone Wild

Post by b360155 » Wed Dec 07, 2011 7:37 pm

Jedimark or anybody else:

My apologies if this doesn't turn out right. First time I've tried to capture a snip of my graphs in this forum. Any ideas what's going on on 11/30 and 12/6? I'm getting duplicate sessions with some wild results in Tidal Volume and Minute Ventilation. Appreciate any ideas on why this might be happening.

Edit: Let's see if this works now...

No images seen. How are you trying to obtain the image?

This is how I do it with screen shots.

Open the image to full size so it is easily read.
I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time.
Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot if using XP. If laptop is used sometimes the Fn key has to be pushed at the same time as the prt/scr key
I think windows 7 Home Premium has the snipping tool, Basic may not.
Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a host site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
Use the preview button. If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.

Can you see them now? They were there initially when I looked at them in Preview. Then they disappeared. Then they reappeared. I posted from my public folder in Dropbox.

Edit: Crap, now they're gone again. Just the box with the red x in it. Maybe I can't do this from Dropbox?

Images show now. I have no idea what is going on.
Is this for all dates or just isolated dates? Did this just start with latest SH version? Did you remove the old version first (if you had older version)?

Jedimark is in Oz...so he probably won't see this till a little later. The more information you can give him , the more it will help.

Yeowch.. that looks like a double session... I'm not even sure how that's possible..

Which version is this?

Actually, that looks like my Minute Vent, Resp Rate & Tidal Volume calculations are being run on top of ResMed data, and they are designed for the scale and resolution of PRS1 machines flow rate.

I don't know how that could of happened..

EDIT: If your building from source code, Yesterday or the day before, I mucked something up in the ResMed loader.. It's fixed now.. If your using the 0.8.8 binary from sourceforge, I have no idea..

Perhaps try going into your profile directory, (Documents/SleepApp/Profiles/yourname/) and finding the (hex number named) folder containing your ResMed data, and deleting all the contents (*.000 *.001), and reimport.. (this way should should get to keep your notes/bookmarks/etc..)

Failing that, a delete of SleepApp and full reimport?

I'm at a loss. I've tried everything you suggest including deleting everything including the SleepApp folder and reinstalling "SleepyHead-0.8.8-2-testing-win32-full.zip" from the sourceforge site and I'm still getting the double entries and overlapping sessions for November 30th and December 6th. All other days look fine. I deleted all files prior to my first attempt at installing 0.8.8 and lost data older than 30 days. Before 0.8.8 I never had any issues. My ResScan graphs for the same days do not show any similar type of duplicate/overlapping entries/sessions.

The earlier graphs were the overview for the past week and the daily graph for 12/6. Here's the daily graph for 11/30.

Don't know what else I can do. Maybe revert back to an earlier version?

Went back to v0.8.7 and here's the daily graph for 12/6. Looks better than the one in the earlier post for 12/6 using v.0.8.8. No overlapping and skewed entries on the graphs but still shows overlapping sessions on the lower left of the screen.

It this only happening on one or two days? I really need to see the data here to know what's going on..

It's important for ResMed users to backup their data manually, at least once a week. S9 machines eats data, and SleepyHead can't really do much about it.

I started therapy 9/30/11 and the only times I saw this happen was on 11/30 and 12/6. Is there something I can send you? What's the best process for manually backing up data?

It would help if I had of actually looked at your session list instead of the charts... It has nothing to do with the PRS1 calcs.

You have overlapping sessions in your data.. They start a few minutes apart and appear to end at the same times..

I have never seen this happen before.. First thing to check, is the clock set right in your machine? Did it get reset recently?

If this is happening on every day record, something very weird is going on with your S9 firmware or SD card..

I updated the 0.8.8 build yet again, which fixes this problem.. It was what I originally thought.. I should pay more attention to myself sometimes..

ResMed S9 users will have to import again.. It will automatically purge SleepyHeads S9 data for you this time, it won't touch your notes.
If the problems still appears, you will have to remove the SleepApp folder and start again. :-/

Quick link to just the binary to unzip over the top of the other one..
http://sourceforge.net/projects/sleepyh ... p/download

See the 0.8.8 thread for the full version with DLL's, and further details on the other fixes..
