Sources for Quality Hose Hangers
Sources for Quality Hose Hangers
I thought I might ask Santa for a hose hanger for X-Mas. Any recommendations? CPAP.com's Hose Lift System looks good. Reviews seem to say it works well; others say flimsy and falls over. What say you?
Possible pertinent facts: I use a FFM and my bed does not have a headboard. I have room at the head of my bed to position it on the floor.

I put a small cup hook into the wall above my head and restrain the tubing with some elastisized chord about 1/8" in diameter. I always have a length of chord and duct tape in my travel bag. In a motel, I take the picture off the wall and use the picture hanger. I hope this is what you were refering to.

I've had the "HoseBuddy Tangle Free CPAP Hose Suspension System" for about a week from CPAP.com and it works really well!

If you are struggling with congestion, it helped me to add Alkalol to my daily sinus rinse. This reduced my congestion and allows me to breathe freely with my CPAP mask. CPAPtalk post about Alkalol use here: viewtopic.php?p=665255#p665255

I use the Hozer , it disassembles quickly and easily for travel, and is sturdy enough for everyday. I like that it is springy like a fishing pole, I'm an active sleeper, use Swift FX and Quatro FX. Kathy
Any landing you walk away from is a good one; if you don't break your airplane it's excellent.

Re: Sources for Quality Hose Hangers
The Hozer looks very similar to my home made fishing pole solution that I've now been using for about 16 months. see post

With my system I can toss and turn and move about 2 feet without pulling hard enough to break the seal on my swift FX.
Hopefully the Hozer works as well, but it looks OK.

I just got the Hozer and I like it. No more waking with the hose around my neck and no more pulling the cpap off the night stand.mayondair wrote:I use the Hozer , it disassembles quickly and easily for travel, and is sturdy enough for everyday. Inexpensive but works very well: pur-sleep.com's cozyhoseboss for $19.99, with 14 day refund policy. I have one for home, keep a spare for travel. Easy to put up and take down. Doesn't hurt the paint on the wall.

Re: Sources for Quality Hose Hangers
OK! My husband just rigged up a hose hanger for me. I hope this frees up my sleeping. I think I have been subconsciously avoiding rolling over in my sleep for fear of the hose dragging across my face. I hope it removes one more obstacle in my getting unfragmented sleep. Wish me luck tonight!

I travel a lot and the CozyHoze Boss™ stores in a band aid box - - I haven't found a place where it didn't work & I flop like a fish out of water.
I travel by Train - Boat - Bus - Car and used it in all places....

Small enough to fit in your shirt pocket, it mounts to the wall using 3M Command Adhesive strips that are guaranteed not to damage surfaces and are removed with a simple tug on the tab. Or they can be used for permanent mounting.
The product consists of a wall mounting hook and two spring loaded, self-retracting reels with just enough tension to keep the hose up out of your way while at the same time providing low-friction full range of motion for every sleeping position. Traveling is a breeze. Just remove the hook from the wall and leave the reels attached to the hose. Simply re-attach the hook base on the wall or headboard at the new location.
GREAT Refund Policy - - - I have used mine for a couple years daily!!!

Re: Sources for Quality Hose Hangers
Slept through the night for the first time in 25 days! I remember rolling over to my other side and thinking, "It's OK: I've got that hose hanger thingy." Fell right back asleep.
We screwed a long hook into the wall and hung a bunji cord from it.
I'm really grateful for people's sharing their pictures so I could give my husband an idea of the kind of things other people rigged up, and I am very appreciative of Rested Gal, who put them all in one thread so I could show my husband the pictures in a short amount of time. From when I showed him the first picture to when the project was complete took less than a half hour. It cost nothing b/c we had the two items in the house. The only power tool we used was our hands. Now I can spend that $20.00-80.00 on something else!
I am so thankful for his helpful forum!

Cool, napstress! Hey, if you happen to ever snap a picture or two of your setup, and post them in this topic, I'd like to add them to the hose hangers links page.napstress wrote:We screwed a long hook into the wall and hung a bunji cord from it.
