Back up Power Supply

With Winter approaching i was wondering what to do when power goes out. As far as im aware my machine has no back up battery. I dont live up north but we do get ice storms that often leave us without power a few days.

Is there a battery pack i can purchase for this machine?

If you need a battery to last 2 or 3 days, you are not going to want a small Cpap.com battery, which is more suited for travelling. You will need something a lot bigger. A large jump start battery pack might last 2 days (without humidifier) and is probably the cheapest option. You'd want one with float charging, that you can leave plugged in; something like the Jump N Carry JCN660, which is about $125 at amazon.com. Much better would be a larger deep cycle battery, preferably AGM so no spilling, with separate float battery charger (like the Battery Tender), but you'd have to be able to wire things up. I think the links given above will go to discussions of both options, if not, a search should find them. Your PRS1 will run on 12 volts (even the humidifier, I believe, but that takes a lot more juice), so all you need to do is buy the 12 volt adapter from Cpap.com and use it with the battery system of your choice.
