Talon: since you've had a few nights without a humidifier... ask yourself if you really need one. I am a heavy mouth-breather and I get dry mouth. But a little urging of the saliva glands... and I'm back in business (bitness'). Life is a lot easier not messing with a humidifier, cleaning, water, etc... As I stated in an earlier post, I went a while without a humidifier when I had my S8 Escape. That's when I realized I didn't need one on a nightly basis. Now I use it only once or twice a year. Something to ponder....

I'm actually still using a humidifier, just not the atmospherically controlled one that needs the ClimateLine. With a "normal" hose, the Hi5 turns into a standard heated humidifier system with levels 1-5 =)
I might try without it for a couple of nights, just to see. Especially seeing as how it's pretty humid today with the rain.

The tanke being dry could be due to the change in the climate, with winter comming on it is dryer out. I go through a tank of water every other day in the winter. Not sure on the unit being hot though maby it seems warmer cause the tank is dry. I will have to cheack this out on my machine.

Re: ClimateLine went berserk?
Possibly, although the Hi5 seems to be just fine, and I do have another CL hose to try.
However, since this is the second hose that's gone south on me with less than 2 months of use per hose, I'm ready to give up on CL completely and just stick to the normal hose. Rain out hasn't been a major issue, and the humidifier itself works just fine, it's only when the CL is attached that things go weird.
