The separate graph on the bottom is where I change the time frame. So the top graphs are all on "8 hours" so I can see the entire night but when I am looking at data I usually turn the bottom chart on "30 minutes" or even "30 seconds" and check my flow in detail. Its nice as you can see the detail below and look up to see where those details are in the big picture.

Here is a sample of all 8 graphs on the "navigation" section and 1 graph in the detailed pain below. The top 8 show the whole night in eight hour mode and the detailed section is in five minute mode. In this case I am looking at my flow in detail to see whats happening during a series of events. You will notice "flow" is a chart listed in the top grouping of charts as well. You can choose which charts are in either mode "navigation" or "detailed" and you can choose which time bracket you want each section to be in.

ResMed went for style and I think it worked for them. It looks like a chubby Bose. I believe the PRS1 also scores RERA's though I am not sure how.
It's a toss up for me. Back when I first started therapy Repironics machines gathered Flow limitations and Snores when ResMed did not. Of course now ResMed has those items added. I do like the ResMed ResScan event duration boxes for the apneas but now SleepyHead gives us PR S1 users something very close.

It really comes down to personal preference. The addition of SleepyHead lets PR S1 users zoom in on wave form.
We do get the RERA items but I have no idea how accurate or even how critical that is.

I don't know of any way to send raw data from PR S1 to use as sample in Pro software. I tried it once for someone having problems with Pro but I never had any success.

Other than my personal dislike for ResMed strong arm marketing tactics, I have no problem with their machines or their software. I do like the swivel placement for hose on my humidifier. I can see where having it fixed in the rear could be a PITA with ResMed machines.

Well, I guess it's amazing that the System One and S9 data-capable machines provide this level of detail at all, given what was the standard until just lately. It's also interesting the way that Repironics and Resmed seem to have pushed everyone else aside when it comes to data. I remember when the Puritan Bennett machines were on top in that department. My P-B 418p and later 420e would even record flow data, if you provided the computer and hard drive (unfortunately, so far as I know, there was no practical way with the available software to use the flow data).

Hey, Perry!!! I have the PERFECT SOLUTION to your dilemna!!!! Insist on the Resmed S9 since your insurance is buying and it is the more expensive of the two.

Then buy a PR SystemOne outta pocket from cpap.com at the greatly discounted price from the local DME providers.

Then you have the best of both worlds and a backup/travel CPAP to boot! What more could you ask for??

You can use the same USB cable for downloading the data, each provides its own data card, the data cards are the same, you can purchased 2 backup data cards at most any electronics store or store than sells digital camera supplies so you have back up data cards .... you can get both software at no cost w/a little bit of ingenuity, can't you Uncle_Bob?

Yeah, right. I'm saving up my pennies to buy a Resmed S10 VPAP Auto. I figure it'll take me AT LEAST until an S10 series comes out before I'll even be able to save up enough money - and by the time an S10 series VPAP Auto comes out, come to think of it, my S8 VPAP Auto will be eligible for replacement!!!!

Have you priced the PR S1s online at cpap.com and called for their "sale" price??

Ideally, I would want the same kind of machine for backup or travel. It makes sense so you don't make mistakes and don't have to learn 2 software pkgs. with diff quirks and all. Not to mention filters and other supplies. But hey that's me.
