Resmed or Respironics Sample Data?

Post by Perrybucsdad » Mon Sep 12, 2011 10:52 am

Does anyone have any sample data they could send me from their ResMed S9 or their Respironics machine? I don't have a device yet and want to take a look at the two software packages and see what I can do with each. This will help with my decision on the two machines.

PM me if you can help.

Thanks,

John

Here is a tutorial that will show you how to use the Rescan program

I've been through the two demos, so I am looking to dig a little more. I'm the techie type who always liked to take his toys apart before playing with them.

My data is on my home computer. I think the tutorial shows good examples of how you can drill down the data.

I think I read where ResScan software came with sample data for a person to play with. Not sure as I have never used ResScan.
ResScan is easily available. Do a forum search for member Uncle_Bob and find it in his signature line.

Send me your email in a personal message, I can send you a few weeks if you want. A little bit of everything, here was last night. I don't mind sending the original files.

Thanks Cuda... that gives me some ResMed data to work with.

Can anyone share the Remstar Data?

Perry, the data you see in Cuda's post is one page of what is available online in the ResScan tutorial someone gave you the URL for in another post here. In Cuda's take a look at the small "black" box to the top left. If you look closely you will see some printing in it, if I remember right is says 8 hours. In ResScan if you click on the arrow in the box at the end of that box you will have the option of spreading those graphs out to as much as either 10 or 20 second intervals or out to as much as a 24 hour interval.

The download PRINTOUT look different than the ResScan pages and than the EncorePro pages you've been seeing. PM and I can send you a pdf of the download printouts. Its been a LONG time since I bothered to do a printout of the EncorePro downloads but if my memory servces me correctly the printouts look just like the EP pages. The "gang" here will correct me if I am wrong on this.

There are examples from various machines in the ResScan download.

Resmed beats Respironics hands down for software. That's why there is "Sleepyhead".
Respironics has other perks, like separate auto on and off, an alarm feature, the hose swivels out the top, instead of fixed out the back with no elbow, and some others that escape me now.

The sample Resmed data is data is already there. After you click on open patient change the Patient Group drop down choice from Defualt to Examples.
Then choose sample data for the machine you are interested in.

Is Resmed data only superior in the software? That is, with Sleepyhead, is there just as much detail in the Respironics System One data as in the Resmed S9 data?

I understand that Uncle Bob... I didn't see that before. WHat I am trying to get though is some sample data from the Philips Machine so I can now try and compare the two software packages to help with my decision on the product I'd like to invest in.

Thanks,

John

Pugsy or someone else will have to answer that. I love my S9 Auto, but I do appreciate some of the features the PRS1 has that the S9 does not. ResMed went for style and I think it worked for them. It looks like a chubby Bose. I believe the PRS1 also scores RERA's though I am not sure how.
