Does the new alpha version fix any of the problems previously reported? Which ones still exist?

I did download the alpha test i am running osx 10.6.7 and the program opened and ran just fine i was able to import my data (not sure how to read it) but it has imported the past years data and i can click around on the different tabs and it appears to be working ok , is there anywhere i can go to figure out what all this data means?

Pressure data on the S9 always starts low and "ramps" up in seconds, unless the ramp feature is turned on, in which case it takes it's time..
This initial cruft data is a very annoying feature of the EDF data, and screws up the min calculations. All S9 machine data I've seen do it.

There are only the 3 pressure graphs available in the EDF, inspiratory pressure, expiratory pressure, and mask pressure.. (Plus the high resolution version of mask pressure.)

The S9 does not record what mode it's running in.. There is more data available in the STR.edf file, but it's an overall summary, which is unfortunately pretty useless, as it's overwritten each day.

perhaps the first (n) seconds of each sessions pressure graphs could be ignored..?

Downloaded and installed 0.8.4 on my Snow Leopard machine. It opens fine, but when I want to select data to be read from the p folder, all the files are grayed and I can't select any.

I deleted old versions of SleepyHead, sleepyheadqt, and SleepyHeadQT.pro. Do I need to delete some other related files?

Have I corrupted my data card by (in the past) inserting it into the card reader without sliding the read-only tab?

EDIT: I can still upload to EncoreView and Onkor.

MD, have you tried importing from one level higher up?

I've never seen data corruption. My S9 does not seem to have a problem with the hidden files added by Mac OS X if I do not slide the lock switch.

Thanks, Jimbo, all the files from this year uploaded at once.

Now to poke around and try to upload oximetry.

Program looks awesome. Any thoughts about supporting the older Respironics M series that use the card?

I'd love to see it happen, but there is simply not enough info available..
I have been in contact with the author of some program that extracted the raw card block data, and he filed me in on a few details.

The common card reader interfaces are unreliable and flakey and the data format is a real mess.

There is only 32k of data stored on those things. There is only very basic stats available, even if we could access the card readers reliably and then decode the format.

If someone wants to take the importer as a project it would be awesome. I've not got the energy or hardware for it. :-\

A new alpha test build of SleepyHead - ver. 0.8.5 - is now available for Mac OS X at http://sourceforge.net/projects/sleepyh ... %20Builds/? .

Mark has made an enormous number of changes and improvements, far more than I can remember, so please test all parts and functions of this new drop and report all problems here and on the bug tracker (URL above).

Among other things, the overview page is back with several overview charts; report generation and printing have been added. SH provides both a Print button and an HTML button on the overview page. Using the Print button, you can either print the report to your printer directly, or use the PDF options in the OS X print dialogue to generate and process a PDF. No "Print to PDF" app or driver is needed apart from what is already built into OS X. Using the HTML button, you can save the overview report as an html file and then open it in your web browser. Mark has big plans, beyond my understanding, for the development, customization, and sharing of html report templates. At this point, only those with a firm grasp of html coding should play with the default template (the .sht file) currently provided. I'm certain Mark is open to user-suggested improvements to the html coding and templating from the html gurus among you.

This is still a rough alpha test build and, therefore, has plenty of bugs, is missing lots of stuff, and is not ready for daily use. Your primary objective in testing this drop should be to find and report problems so that Mark can fix them and make SH better, ready for beta testing and, ultimately, for general release.

And ssssh! Mark just went to bed (in Australia). Let's quietly test and report problems so that he has feedback waiting for him when he awakes.

The Profile tab in Preferences may also be new in .5, since it generates the info atop the reports.

Just downloaded new release to Mac Lion. Downloaded just fine. Fast look shows that max pressure that was 13 on old version ( S9 Resmed Autoset using
EPR3, pressure set to 14) is now reading 12.44. This is seen on the left max pressure. The pressure graph shows a red line of 14 but actual pressure of 11.77.
