This machine is special machine... are you limited to specific masks? If it were me I would be mask shopping because this one isn't even close to sealing adequately. Either that or check all your hoses and connections to see if it is possible that there is a leak somewhere else. Unlikely but not impossible. That is the only thing I can think of.
Tangentially relevant here, but interesting nonetheless: a friend of mine is an RPSGT. He shared a nugget with me tonight; apparently, Respironics advises avoiding full face masks on ASV because of potential obstructions CAUSED by pressurized air entering the mouth rather than nose. I found this interesting, so while the Swift FX blew me away on my CPAP and BiPAP, I'm probably going to give it another trial now that I'm on an ASV. Maybe the OP can find a second-hand one to get him by for now?

I tried a Swift but couldn't stop mouth breathing. My doctor told me that a FFM is preferred with ASV because of mouth breathing problems.
I'm not convinced that the leaking is compromising therapy. It may be that I am not experiencing an improvement for reasons unrelated to apnea.

My experience has been that I can't stop mouth breathing either. So, when I try the Swift FX this time, I'm going to resort to mouth taping.

What you suggested in your second paragraph definitely seems possible, but it isn't an either/or situation too. You could be getting sub-optimal therapy in part due to leaks, and there could be some other dynamics or factors in play. I recall another post (I believe it was from JBF, but can't swear to it) mentioning that the ResMed ASV, while extremely nice, is quite leak-intolerant.

You've seen my other ASV thread; we're both in the same boat (feeling totally exhausted and run-down after our first month on ASV). When I had leak problems, the data was all over the place. Now that it's more stabilized, the data seems a little easier to parse. Maybe you can try looking for an inexpensive second-hand mask?

I have been feeling this way for close to 30 years - ASV has made no difference.
I would like to know how Cheynes-Stokes works. It seems to me that the machine is blowing but I am not breathing or inspiring. The air hits a wall and leaks out the sides. It could be that the slowdown in breathing happens for less than 10 seconds at a time so it doesn't show up in the data.
I have no way of looking at the data so I can't be sure.

I wish there was more information about CSR - it seems that the only information relates to people who have heart disease.

I took off the mask during the night because it was so uncomfortable to breath with my stuffy nose.
I still have a sore on my nose but it is starting to heal.
I know I feel worse when I don't use the machine but I certainly don't feel any better when I do.

Can I ask why you are posting your data EVERY DAY? Your numbers barely change from day to day. The data shows that you are doing quite well. If you feel that you are still having problems...see your doctor or RT.

I post every day because this is my social networked sleep journal.
I have no way to get detailed data from my machine. I record the data I have so that I can think about what it means.
I would also like to get feedback from others who have similar issues or machine.
Thanks for your input.
