Time to re-evaluate the mask? It clearly is not working for you. Won't stay sealed. Leak way out of control.
There is no hope for effective therapy at those leak levels. Leaks are so bad we can't trust the data.
Even if we could trust the data the arousals from possibly all the leaks are disrupting sleep which will also make us feel like total dog pooh.

Last night:
Usage: 4:02hrs
AHI: 0.2
AI: 0.0
Leak: 22L/min
Average pressure: 9.2
EEP: 7 (change from 11)
Min: 5
Max 12
VT: 352 - 651 (What exactly does this mean?)

How do I feel: Very tired. Most of my "sleep" was without the machine.
I changed the EEP downwards. Leak is starting to be in the acceptable range but only over 4 hours.

VT- also known as Tidal Volume

the volume of air inspired or expired in one respiratory cycle (breath)

What is normal? I have no idea. Sorry.

How do I feel: Very tired. I suspect I have a sinus infection unrelated to CPAP.
I didn't use the gel pad because of the leaking.

Hoping that you have some success taming the leak monster.

Thank you.
I've also ordered a spot oximeter to check saturation during the night.

Thank you for your help and insights.

I take it not much luck with the liner except maybe comfort?
This leak is very bad. Do you have a different mask that you can try? As long as this amount of leak is present we can't trust those low AHI numbers and there is no way you can remotely expect to see improvement on how you feel.

I'm afraid not.
The mask liner is helping - my nose is starting to scab over and heal.
But it is not doing anything for the leaking.

Wouldn't the ASV adjust the pressure automatically to compensate for the leak?

The machine can compensate for some leak but not that much leak.
ResMed says it can handle up to 24 L/min and above that line all bets are off and therapy along with event scoring could be significantly impaired. Remember they already subtract the intentional vent/leak rate before reporting the leak so all you see is true excess leak. Even at 20 L/min the machine probably will be stretching its ability to make up for leak.

Also the amount of increased pressure to compensate for that much leak could very well be disrupting sleep and the leaks could be disrupting sleep. Disrupted sleep equals crappy feeling next day. Not to mention not being able to deal with events effectively.

I see less leak being reported with nasal pillow users who have mouth breathing problems and don't do anything to keep mouth shut. This machine is special machine... are you limited to specific masks? If it were me I would be mask shopping because this one isn't even close to sealing adequately. Either that or check all your hoses and connections to see if it is possible that there is a leak somewhere else. Unlikely but not impossible. That is the only thing I can think of.
