Good point, gvz. And, truthfully, it would be a good idea for patient's to actually start to educate themselves by actually READING their mask literature and finding that table.
On the other hand, for one who has done so many times *sigh* ... I like your idea:
... Maybe a new feature? Allow the user / operator / DME / etc, to program the machine to match the leak rates from the mask that is being used. ...

So, It's been a year since this thread came out and I was wondering when we might see the new APAP
from Devilbiss or does DeVilbiss have a new firmware with some great new options?
I am a fan of the intellipap, but I'm curious about the outcome after all these great, good, fair... ideas were volunteered.

I will confess I did not read each and every response. I did search for the term wifi and didn't find it. I would really like not having to take the card out and carry it to my computer and then remember to put if back just to get data for analysis. I would really like to see WiFi access as part of the machine and not require the card shuffle. This could potentially allow for easy firmware updates as well.
I see having a power supply brick as a positive thing, unlike many others. It makes the machine lighter which can be important in a portable setting and running on battery power. Carrying around the batteries and the weight of an unused power supply is definitely counter intuitive.

All I can say is that you knocked it out of the park with that aloha. That's the only interface to not only compete with the swift line but improves on every part of it. I'm in heaven with this little mask. Thanks for bringing it into the market. (and ya,OK, I know the Innomed people make it but Devilbless had it out first). Bring out more products like that!

Make sure you list us all on any patents you make as a result of asking our input. If you use any of our ideas, we should become part owners, right?

If not WiFi, then Bluetooth--so we don't have to worry about cards and cables.
Thank you.
You guys are awesome.
My back-up's going to be one of yours.

Two suggestions for DeVilbiss:
1. Spare pillows for the Aloha mask! I love the mask, but will need new pillows before very long. I have not been able to find them anywhere other than buying a full mask ...
2. A fully automatic mask that adjusts the pressure and leak rate to match the requirements of every apnea event for every individual throughout the night!!
Did I mention that I love the Aloha? I do need to go back and read the instructions to see how I can get the leaks down even further. I also need to work on cutting the CAs, although I believe that may be due to a stuffed up nose rather than anything else. However, the mask is so quiet that I have to check carefully that a) it is on my face; and b) the air is blowing through it!
Thank you, DeVilbiss!

I would like to see Bluetooth connectivity to my smartphone, with an app on my android phone that allows me to view my recent data. leak graph and statistics for last night, etc.

This thread was started over a year ago -- have any of these suggestions been implemented in the Intelipap series?
Anything new coming out soon?
The DeVilbiss line is still about a half generation in features behind Resmed and Respironics -- ie, display screen size, no heated tube/anti-rainout systems. Although DeVilbiss' retail price is by far better than the big players. (*But with insurance, the price is still the same as the others....)

I don't use the DeVilbiss product, but I use a S9 Autoset for about 40 days now. Top things that I like about the S9 so far.
- Being able to get full data into Sleepyhead is a must. Which puts me in control of the therapy rather then being at the mercy of sleep clinics / doctors.
- S9 has the mask fit feature, which blows air at the maximum prescribed pressure. Useful for trying out a new mask and troubleshooting fitting issues rather then waking up in the middle of the night due to a leak.
- Exhale Pressure Relief makes the therapy pressure more comfortable for me.
- It's a very quiet machine. I still run a fan as a white-noise generator, but that's more to block out traffic / neighbor noises.

I'd be interested to hear (read) what you think of it.

I likewise just saw this thread. Ditto to the bluetooth or wifi or both. NO way should you have to schlep the SD card to your computer. Wireless !!
