For Grins - Some Pictures of My Vent/Screen
Re: For Grins - Some Pictures of My Vent/Screen
I'm glad you've got an RT that knows your machine. I hope they come up with something soon so that you're getting more benefit from it.

Keeping a positive attitude won't solve all your problems. You will, however, annoy enough people to make it worth your while.

Don't you think Focus is dependable?kneemeister wrote:I know the Visions are getting long in the tooth, but they are good workhorses.

And you need to "bleed-in" oxygen into the Focus (up to about 15 LPM) vs. the adjustable range of 21 - 100% of the Vision if you need supplemental O2.

Thanks Bones. I'm not ready to get too hopeful yet, but it SEEMS that bumping up my IPAP is helping some. I'm not waking up as much and only one night out of the last three I had trouble breathing before falling asleep. I also did an overnight pulse ox last night, first time since I increased the pressure. It was very good.Bones wrote:I'm glad you've got an RT that knows your machine. I'm planning to call the sleep center today and have them find out if my insurance will pay for another study. I can't make any decisions about doing one until that is confirmed.

I'm not sure where I would be if not for the help I've gotten here. I came into all of this clueless and ignorant. Especially in my situation where people really aren't sure what to do, my being able to come here and get input has made a huge difference in my situation.Big S wrote:Knowledge (and information and control of therapy) is power!

This first thing I thought when I saw the first image was, "Cool! the Trilogy 100 has a remote!"Madalot wrote:Because I may go shopping and ask about video cameras to photograph this mess, I took some pictures to show the people what I'm trying to videotape. Thought it would be fun to post some of them here.
...

Of course, I realized that's not the case, since it looks remarkably like our cable tv remote...
It's amazing the amount of information that screen displays.
Thanks for posting these images, Madalot.

Yeah, that's my cable remote. My nightstand only has so much room and I finally figured out a way to get the necessities on it. Obviously the vent needs to be as close to the bed as possible.DreamDiver wrote:This first thing I thought when I saw the first image was, "Cool! the Trilogy 100 has a remote!"Madalot wrote:Because I may go shopping and ask about video cameras to photograph this mess, I took some pictures to show the people what I'm trying to videotape. I guess that the information is necessary, especially since many people on ventilators actually have caregivers that have to monitor the situation. For now, I'm pretty much my own caregiver on this thing.
I had put the phrase into a translator and came up with the same thing. Still couldn't understand the point so I gave up trying.
