You are correct on that GumbyCT. At least it will all still work with my APAP that I currently have now. The fun thing is, my platoon sergeant, told me that I will bring my spare machine out. What he doesn't seem to understand, is that if it breaks, then I'm really up the creek without a paddle. Good thing that the PA say I would stay back until I get the machine issue fixed. At least he has some brains.

The Premo icon (although my first and only machine so far, one week now) is so nice! It really makes no noise, is sleek, easy to use and has an alarm clock/music. You can add your own music to the stick. Its so easy to have the push button on the front of the unit and its just turn, push, turn, push dial. It barley looks like a machine and more like a clock. Its small enough that when packing it in the travel bag its not bulky. All three units, the Premo, Novo and Auto are identical except that the Auto has Senseawake and something else but other than that, the same. All have a humidifier INSIDE the unit, so its all in one, not a detachable humidifier. When researching the machines when I knew I was going to be put on one, I found that one and hoped I got it. I did, and am glad. The heated tubing is so nice. When in bed, its not a cold piece of plastic laying over you, its nice and warm. Its also suppose to prevent rain out? I dont know what that is, but so far this week, I have not had it I guess. lol

Not having the software is a pain in the butt. I may search for it on the software on the internet and get a copy that way. (people always copy that stuff..lol) if I cant get my doctor to order it for me. I do not like that they dont include it and only give it to the DME.

ps The machine is not flimsy. Its built well and the company that makes them makes top of the line washers/dishwashers, etc

Kelly, Thanks for the useful information on the Icon. I just seen your other post and see that no one yet has found a way to get the software for it. In my case, having the software is a deal breaker. Seeing as how you can't even add the music yet kind of bites as well. When I talked to my DME about getting the software, they were not happy that I knew it existed, and in no way would they allow me to get my hands on it. Bad news for them.

When you leave that DME to buy elsewhere, make sure that the old DME knows WHY you didn't buy from them. Otherwise, they will never learn that their lack of service is costing them business and things will never change.

Hose_Head, I wish I could leave them, but in my case I don't really have much of a choice. I should explain what I meant a little better. They were more than likely looking for a way to charge my insurance more by having me send them my card. Seeing as how it wouldn't do me much good to do that with the wait I'd have, they won't be making money off me / the military that way. That is what I meant by bad news for them.

Well, I've decided and I will be going with the S9 Autoset. Might take me a few weeks to get it. I'll also be getting the climateline with it as well. If any S9 owners out there have any suggestions on anything else that I should get with it, please let me know.

My machine arrived today. Only problem I had at first was that the language was in German, fixed that after 2 minutes. Tonight's sleep will be interesting.

Well, Had my first nights sleep with my new machine, and I think that things look very promising with it. I'll post my last night with my M Series APAP and the S9 report as well. Now if I'm reading it right, I think that things will be taking a turn for the better.

you've got a leak problem on both of them.

Cflame1, I've noticed that as well. One thing that I did notice as well is that the leak with the S9 is a lot less than what I had with the M Series. I'm thinking that it might have been due to moving while sleeping. I'll try to adjust the mask just a little to tighten it up a bit and see if that helps. Thanks for confirming what I thought.

Long time no see.

Your leak rate is awful but as I remember, it always has been.

Doesn't seem to be affecting treatment though...... How are you feeling? And yes, tossing and turning will/can make leaks worse.

I switched from the Comfort gel to the Mirage activa lt and the leaks went away! Might work for you too?

Yeah, been a bit busy here with training and what not.

With the ComfortGel, the leak rate for my pressure is about 28. There were a few spikes with the S9 that went above 30, but no where near what it was like with the M Series. I think that I'm getting better results with the S9. The M Series is not a bad machine, I just think that it wasn't the right machine for me.

I'll have to look into that after I get my refund (taxes). I've gotten my free mask for now from the military and I'm not sure how long I'll have to wait before I can get another. I might even give the Swift FX another try as well. Maybe I'll be able to get it to seal better.

IIRC the leak on the S9 is compensated for, so anything above 0 is not good. i.e. Your actual leak is 28 + 30 = 58
