Yes, it was. No matter what I do I cannot seem to get very many good nights with the Swift FX. I love the Softgel. It seals excellent and is very comfy on my face. Not that the Micro is not a good mask as well, I think I will be retiring it since I found the Softgel

I'm glad that the SoftGel is working for you. It's been the best for me, too. I still have leak issues and nosebridge issues, but it it still better than all the others I have tried. Just last night I trimmed even more of the silicone around the nose bridge. I have to do it a little at a time so I don't take too much off, but it sure does ease up on the nose bruising.

Those remaining spikes that you have are probably mouth leaks. Chinstraps have never prevented my mouth from leaking, but they do keep my jaw up and that keeps the tape from breaking seal.

Thanks! Do you find that the Respironics chinstrap is hot in the summer months?

I have air conditioning and since I stopped having the hot flashes the chinstrap has not bothered me at all. It's uncomfortable because I have to keep it pretty tight and I don't like the lump behind my head, but it's not hot. The CPAPCAP was definitely too hot for me, as there are no venting holes in the cap part, AND it made a huge lump where the seven layers of material crossed behind my head.
