If you're able to do it yourself and the update goes South you got yourself an expensive paper weight. Sort of like flashing your BIOS in a computer.

v.2.02
v.2.50
v.2.51
Realize too, the PR System 1 60 Series machines have different firmware as well. My 560 has version 3.02 software.

I miss the old black att phones that you could actually spin the dial, so i'm probably not a good choice for an early adaptor

Philips Respironics System 1 Flash Upgrade Utility is used to upgrade devices with current software version 2.XX to software version 2.53
I can confirm that Respironics uses an RS-232 interface. The part number is 1074113 and can be found from several specialty medical-supply houses. - http://www.medexsupply.com/product_info ... s_id=49693
When in doubt, open the case. Remember: If you can't open it, you don't own it!

Current range - 9.0-11.5 cm/H2O - still searching for the magic "zero night" but averaging 2.2 AHI

*Edit* Pin 1 is the wide contact on the right (conveniently marked "1"). Pin 7 is the wide contact on the left.

Keep in mind that only a 2.xx machine can be upgraded to 2.53.

If you have a 1.xx machine you can only flash to 1.24.

And again, we're only talking about PRS1s (note Topic Header).

*Bump*

Going to be heading to my 1 year followup in a few weeks. I can get one of the RTs to give me the firmware update then, but I'd like to know if anyone has the release notes.

Wouldn't the RT who is giving you the update have access to the release notes?

Hi folks.

As we are prohibited from selling Respironics' parts to the public, we've decided to roll out this program on a trial basis.

Accurate Biomed Services Inc. is proud to announce a new service aimed at CPAP users that desire to have their equipment upgraded.

The manufacturer provides the following information:
Philips Respironics System One Firmware Upgrade

Firmware Upgrade Version 2.53 is for 2.XX model versions only. The version can be determined by looking at the serial number label at the bottom center.

Products Affected Are As Follows:
SYS. One Remstar
SYS. One Remstar Plus
SYS. One Remstar Auto
SYS. One BiPap Pro
SYS. One BiPap Auto

Information on new features of firmware upgrade:

HUMIDIFIER PREHEAT:
When using a humidifier, the device can now preheat the water tank for up to 30 minutes prior to starting therapy.

SILENT MODE:
You can disable the audible beep during power on, therapy start, therapy stop, mask fit check and humidifier preheat mode.

RAMP TIME
Enables you to modify the Ramp time setting in 5 minute increments. The range for this setting is 0 to 45 minutes.

Firmware Upgrade 2.50 For SYS. One Remstar Pro.

This firmware version impacts the Remstar Pro w/C-Flex+ by adding AutoIQ functionality. Devices with AutoIQ are capable of providing a two-phase therapy approach that is comprised of an Auto-Trial and an Auto-Check phase along with the above features.

You will receive a computerized calibration with printout, new filters, and a user manual insert along with the upgrade further explaining these features in more detail.

The cost of this service is $65.00 plus shipping.

If we get a lot of blow back from the manufacturer about this, we'll have to discontinue, but I've received some pm's expressing interest and we're going to try to take care of the people that are interested. It would be helpful if you could provide your prescription as we will want to set the cpap up for your specific settings. As always you can contact Accurate with any questions.

Yeah I got one (give or take).

If you add AutoIQ to a machine don't you technically have to upgrade to the REMstar AutoIQ Top Enclosure? Are you including this part in your price?

Also, how's the shipping work?

TIA

are not they all features of 2.50? IOW, if a user has v.2.50, there is no point in upgrading to 2.53?

TIAA.
