Sorry about the snow, NM.

That being said, I would like to say that unlike -SWS, I believe I may have said "that being said" instead of "that said" whenever I've said that. However, "that said" is somewhat more concise than "that being said." So that being said, I may in future say "that said" rather than "that being said," if that gets me in the that-said club.

Am I a member? I don't know if I say "that said" enough to qualify. Someone, quick, to a search of my posts for "that said"!

I'm inclined to "Having said that, xxx". Does that count?

I think that counts for the Wishy-Washy Club.

"That said" highlighted in red twice above... and a third time below:

That said... your use of the phrase "that said" three times recently shows promise! However, Mr. Google ALSO reveals a long, barren past in which you did not so heavily favor our club's favorite idiom: that said. And, of course, THAT said, this is a very, VERY difficult decision for us...

I'm afraid your club-membership fate now lies in the hands of a That-Said Phrase User's Group Acceptance Committee ---our well-known but stern TSPUGAC. Again, please understand this type of membership request is very challenging for us. I mean... we only started the club yesterday. That said, we'd love to have you in our club... but rules ARE rules.

My fingers are crossed the TSPUGAC will decide favorably on your behalf.... <fingers crossed>

Oh no, who sits on the executive committee of the TSPUGAC club? Can I bribe my way in??

-SWS, I will pay you 60 free Kindle downloads if you let me in the club.

Cloudy, when you're showing off your expansive vocabulary for the ladies, I promise I will never say "the purpose of writing is to communicate, not to impress".

jnk, I will pay you .25 cents every time I use the F word. Actually, we better make that .10 cents, as I still need money to feed and clothe the kids.

Muffy, hmmm... If I have any money leftover after I pay jnk, how about tickets to a Rush concert?

Am I in???

Hmmm... THAT said, I would be up to nearly 140 downloads on my Kindle-for-Android app... and that's very enticing, indeed.

Good, because I was afraid I was going to have to resort to sleeping my way into this club. Oh crap, I think for that joke, I am probably going to have pay jnk something.

I'll take the Rush tickets, but only because Mr. Peart does not curse and loves to say "that said."

OK, but you're going to have to sit with Muffy, and I can't be responsible for any cursing or drinking/drugging he does at the show. Also, at the prices they are charging, it will have to be in the nosebleed section.
