SF and Fantasy writer plus some scientific writing, and I'm also a professional musician performing and giving private music lessions (guitar, keyboard, bass, and voice). Typical of writers, I've done a wide assortment of things in the past including fabricating jewelry, painting in oils and acrylic, working as a sound engineer, owning a music store, etc. In every area, I have far more to learn than I've learned so far.

I was a computer network manager. I left work in 2004 to care for my mother and elderly aunt when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. They are both gone now so I am looking to go back to work.

I worked as an inventory clerk (the only one) for Rival Manufacturing (maker of cockpots) in the service division. I worked at that for 2 years.

After that I had three kids and stayed home for a few years, went back to work manning a customer service desk for the local newspaper. Did that for three years.

Decided to have more kids and had a total of five. When baby number four came along, the oldest was only five. It didn't pay for me to work outside the home since daycare ate up whatever I made, plus some. Three years later had baby number five.

When my youngest went to kindergarten I went back to school (had a secretarial degree prior to that) and hold a bachelor's degree in early childhood, elementary one through eight, and kindergarten through twelfth grade special education.

I taught high school sped for 12 years, did 2 years with elementary, and am now teaching kindergarten through twelfth grade (all at the same rural district).

I love working with kids!!!

I'm a journalist now, assistant editor for a small newspaper, I write stories, do layout, whatever it takes. Before that I was the chief elected official of a small town. Before that I was a paralegal.

Hotel business for the first 18 years of my career. Then, a day spa owner for 8 years. Now, do books for small businesses from my home office and work as a customer service agent for a major airline. I love the variety of my work and am grateful to have the diagnosis of sleep apnea figured out. Now I can work weird hours and sleep when I need to

I am self employed as a locksmith, and volunteer with a couple of local fire departments and the local rescue squad. All of that has been on hold for the last few weeks, but I hope to get back at it really soon! I've been down to working part time at my locksithing, but haven't run a single fire / rescue call in weeks.

I'm a social worker - 2 years in domestic adoption and 6 years in international adoption. After that, went to grad school and now I'm a medical social worker on a pediatrics unit at a children's hospital; been here for almost 8 years - I love my job!

English professor. Teaching is (at least sometimes) as good as it gets. Writer hoping to be published one day. As Kteague said, why not me? And yes, I am aware there are sentence fragments in this post.
