OT: What does everybody do for a living?

Have worked for DoD in Logistics since I was 17. I'm about two years from the minimum retirement age.
Currently I'm a data miner; extracting, analysing, modeling, etc etc etc.
Bottom line: helping support our soldiers, fliers and sailors to come home safely.

Been selling fun for the past 30+ years working in the tourism industry - both in Australia and now the U.S. Currently in the human resources and administration side and love my job. Am a pre-computer-schooled graphic designer and have always been able to contribute these skills to whatever position I've held, but didn't enjoy doing this full-time.

Currently a Systems Admin for a Northern VA tech company.

Have been: Groundskeeper assistant, construction laborer, delivery driver, towing & recovery operator, Assistant Manager at an automotive parts warehouse, Systems Admin / “jack of all trades” at a Northern VA tech company.

I'm a lawyer now. The worst job I can remember is cutting the tall grass by the side of the highway all summer with an old fashion weed whip. I was happy to get the summer job with the highway department, but thanks to "Cook Hand Luke" and movies like it, I had no idea that task was ever performed by anyone but convicts until they handed me my weed whip and put me on a truck. At least they didn't shackle us together.
