Provent for sleep apnea

Has anyone had a sleep test with this thing?

Some tests have been done. Some links appear in the thread.
It doesn't work for everyone--it takes getting used to--not everyone can tolerate it.
As a full-time substitute for CPAP, it would be more expensive in the long run.
If you can use it, and it works for you, it's an appealing travel, camping, or emergency choice.
Otherwise, well, this is a cpap forum--full time provent users don't need us.

I know this is an old post, but I thought I'd add my 2 cents. Someone mentioned skepticism about the epap because they stated that the airway collapse happened in inhillation Some people, myself included, have exhilatory sleep apnea. The airway closes off on exhillation. It's subtely different,. For example, I had to disable the exhilatory pressure releif function on my S9. Additionally, full face masks made the apnea WORSE. I would think in retrospect that the equal pressure on both sides woukd do nothing, but instead it caused it to seal off completely, every single time I dozed off. I'd wake up with my nose totally blocked. While you would think I'd just open my mouth, for some reason I just don't. For me the nasal epap is quite plausible and I've ordered a trial. My guess is, like many such things, it only works right for a particular subset of patients.
