pressure and flow (leak) aren't the same "dimensions" so can't be added or subtracted, just as you can't add velocity and acceleration as the "dimensions" are different

each mask has a chart or graph for flow rates. respironics reports the actual flow so you compare the flow graph with that flow rate in the chart

resmed reports the excess in what is actually flowing, versus what is expected to be flowing and in previous versions on the LED it is reported in l/sec

Let me find an old example -

viewtopic.php?p=227995#p227995

for resmed you want leak rate close to 0 for the 95 %ile - the 24 (or.40 is when Resmed says therapy starts to be bad - really happens imo long before then)

popotti,

Your AHI 0.9 would be very good under normal circumstances, but snoring and large losses may be affecting the data.

Given the below image, I'm going to assume that whatever mask you're using should have an normal leak rate somewhere between 40 and 50. When it starts getting up around 75, it becomes a 'large leak'. Large leaks mean you are not getting therapy. This is a common problem. If you are using a nasal mask, you may be leaking air from your mouth. If you are using a full-face mask, your mask may not be properly seated on your face. It may also be possible that the mask is too tight or too loose.

If you are using a nasal mask, you may need to consider using a full-face mask. The 'Ultra Mirage full face' and the 'Quattro' are two very popular full-face masks in the US. It may be worth looking for an equivalent full-face mask where you live.

What mask are you using? It may help to know.

Snoring with your mask on does not seem to happen when you have apneas, so unless it is affecting the quality of your sleep, it may not be as problematic as large leaks. If snoring is affecting your quality of sleep, you may want to talk to your doctor about septoplasty.

(I am not a doctor. I am only offering non-professional opinions.)

Good luck.

My feeble attempt at Italian: / Il mio tentativo debole in italiano

Buona fortuna.

I think you're doing GREAT!

I wouldn't worry about the snoring.
Your leak line looks much better from last night's report.

how is your hose set up? can it move over something wood as you move?

do you have a lot of water in the hose?

both of these can contribute to high snore numbers

even when I had a little plumbing elbow in my circuit instead of a straight connection off my humidifier I had lots of snores too - all fake ones

popotti,

Please continue to join in the discussions on the forum and to read and learn.
We have members from many countries, so it's really an International community.

The "recovery time" for each of us can vary according to how severe our sleep apnea has been and how long we've suffered with it. Although some feel an immediate recovery, for many of us, it can take (many) months. It also makes a big difference that the person's therapy is working well (optimal pressure, fewest leaks, correct mask, good sleep habits, etc., etc.).

Best wishes,

Den

I agree with Den. Last night looks excellent. Don't worry about snoring. I see no large leaks.

Welcome.

Sono d'accordo con Den. La notte scorsa è di ottimo livello. Non preoccupatevi di russare. Non vedo grandi perdite.

Benvenuto.
