If they made it work with 64-bit machines, I will be happy.
Hopefully we can find a place that will sell it for a lot less than $200.
Blake,
Even if it was $200.00, I might buy it, if they had end-user support. But it is sold with NO SUPPORT
And as to 64 bits I bet they don't even think about such things. Is there an emulation mode that you can run??
Then you'd have to find a copy to "try".
I really think that they (PR) support their customers ONLY (the DMEs)
IMHO that is so sad
Good luck,
Cheers,
Dave

I would be interested in hearing from the first one who actually gets it running and compares it to Encore Pro 2.2.
Does anyone actually have it?

Encore Viewer 2.0 is compatible with the 32 bit version of Windows 7 only. We have no current plans to support 64 bit.
Thanks, Encore Support"

As far as an emulation mode, I did try to get a virtual machine running on my system with windows XP 32 bit running in it. I got it all set up and working except for one HUGE problem. I couldnt get it to detect my SD memory cards for some reason. My card reader and disk drives wouldnt show up within the virtual machine. I probably was doing something wrong. I know other people here have successfully gotten Encore Pro running that way.

I'm looking forward to reviews. EP2.2 is PAINfully slow.
It would be interesting to find out if EV2.2 is as well.

I would suspect that its much less bloated than EP since its probably not set up to monitor hundreds of people.

EP 2.2 is very slow due to the use of MySQL mostly.
The personal version should be much faster, no need to use MySQL for 1 user at a time and only 1 patient to monitor

Encore Viewer 1.0, which I have been using with my M Series Auto, is very quick. I can get the card read, the daily (or weekly) report up in few minutes. It then takes another couple of minutes to "print" it to my Documents in PDF form.
I would assume that Encore Viewer 2.0 will be just as fast.

That brings up a question in my mind. what if you have two users (or more) in the household. Do you need a license for each viewer?
That would be a real Pain (IMHO)
Can you have separate databases?
Also, the pro does take a few seconds to "boot up" but it is reasonably fast on my machine (YMMV ).

Dave

if you are attempting to run this on a 64bit machine and having issues, try running win7 in xp mode should help.
I don't have a copy of this software, as I am waiting to go to titration tomorrow then will see which machine that my DME will have available would like S9 but have not found any local yet.
good luck

If I had Win 7 x64 version only and wanted to run EP 2.2 under Win7 Home Base or Premium, I would do something like this:
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/window ... 10213.html
It does require you to have a license for Windows XP and also some patience as it is a 15-step process, but then you could run it under XP mode and not have to worry about the driver issue.
Cheers
Dann

I appreciate the tips on windows 7 64-bit stuff. My problem is that I'm on Vista 64-bit, so my options are a bit more limited.

I see that youneedsleep.com is listing this s/w at $139.00. It claims "new arrival" status but I have no idea either as to this web site's/company's reliability or what release it is. Can someone please tell me -- I'm sorry it's a stupid question -- if I would need a custom Respironics card reader to use this? Thanks so very much.

The software on youneedsleep.com looks like the old Encore Viewer 1.0 software since they mention the smart card.
If it is Encore Viewer 1.0, it will NOT work with the PR System One cpap machines, which have a SD card and not the smart card (looks like a credit card) which came with the "Classic" Respironics machines and the M Series machines.
I did not see Encore Viewer 2.0 (which is the one you need for the PR System One cpap machine) mentioned on that site at all.
You DO need a special card reader for the Encore Viewer 1.0 but not for Encore Viewer 2.0. As I understand it, the SD card with the PR System One machines can be read by any standard card reader on your computer.
It appears that you can use Encore Viewer 2.0 with the older machines and with the newer ones as well but, with the older ones, the special card and card reader is needed.
