I think people do a search and stumble on a page and rather than read they just post. They might have read page 4 and post ends up here. Didn't register, so can't send PM. If he doesn't find his way back here.....

It does amaze me though. If I was looking for something and I came across a thread of 29 pages, I would read everyone of those posts to see if the answer was given somewhere in there before I ever posted. You know like find the answer now instead of waiting for a response. Oh well.

People are lazy. Google, get an answer, post a question asking where to find it, leave. Everything is now now NOW. Nobody has to wait for anything important anymore, no one WANTS to wait for anything anymore. I read every page before posting, and I found the software long before I got to the last post, but kept reading anyway. The value of the information is nothing more than the effort you expended to get it, and these days, nothing has much value anymore.

On a cheerier note, I got my Zeos clock and it's pretty cool the way it tracks my sleeping. The graph it generates goes along nicely with the sleep data my S9 puts out, and I can easily see how much of an effect a CPAP event has on my sleep levels. The whole point of the CPAP machines, is to help us fix our sleeping problems and sleep patterns. The Zeos gives me more information to help assess what is going on. Plus, it's got a very cool and pleasant wake-up song I look like a spaceship pilot though by the time I have the headpand and my Resmed mask on though. The work nicely together though, and are both very comfortable to wear.

I agree people can get lazy. But i guess there are also sleep apnea suffers out there who are just in such a bad state that reading a 32 page post or searching the internet is not an opinion when there are just trying to make it through their day.

I am also new to cpap, have the ResMed s9..set on cpap not on auto. I also need the 3.14 ResScan software....also wonder if 3.13 will work with this machine. Other posts stated do not install the ResScan drivers when installing the software. Can someone clarify this and tell me where to download the software. thank you.

I have searched, Goggled, begged and pleaded to no avail. I do read posts, am not befuddled by sleep deprivation, and am not able to find the "one answer" The post referring to an international download of 3.13 is downloaded as 3.14, but will not run on Windows 7. I would appreciate any help in finding a source for the Rescan software which I beleive needs to be version 3.7 or possibly higher.

I did purchase the software before, I beleive from CPAP, but it is no longer available. My computer hard drive failed, and with it my ability to monitor my sleep activity. It is possible that I will be able to find the original disks, but I have moved twice and did search my home before my plea here.

Thank you

ResScan 3.7 is actually the much older version.
Versions 3.13 and now the latest 3.14 are the most recent versions. I know it does not make sense with the way they numbered the versions but that is the way it has been done.

ResScan 3.13 and 3.14 versions will indeed run on Windows 7 computers. Many members here have it up and running just fine. There have been a few members that have had some issues with the software but it is not a huge wide spread problem.

If you are having issues installing and using ResScan on the Windows 7 computer you would get some very specific help with those issues if you would start a new thread with your problem. That way everyone will see it. Not everyone with ResScan or computer knowledge will read this thread.

Pugsy,

Thank you for your excellent suggestion and clarification of the ResMed (lack of) numbering scheme. It made me redouble my efforts, knowing that the software was current. The message I was receiving was "No Device connected". What it should have said is "turn the card over stupid!) For some reason ResMed elected to put the label ofn the side of the card that faces down when inserted into the reader. All is well that ends well, and everyone can have a good laugh at a failure of common sense.

Thanks again!

Don't you just hate it when you realize what you have done?
I used to use the Respironics M Series machine and it has a smart card like your S8 and it also requires a special reader.
More than once I have spent almost an entire day cussing the card reader because the software told me there wasn't anything there and I go and get updates on the card reader and nothing works and when I finally gave up and pulled the smart card out...the gold box containing the data was on the outside and not the inside. Doesn't work to well that way.
So don't feel bad. We have all done it.

If you need more direction than the link in Uncle Bob's signature, you can join the Apnea Board at http://s7.zetaboards.com/Apnea_Board/index/, and get what you need from the Private Files and Links area.

New to Auto Machine Question: if you have an auto-adjust machine, why would you need to change the range for the upper and lower points? For instance, my CPAP pressure should be 13.
