US pricing on the Resmed - just in...
Re: US pricing on the Resmed - just in...
DD & Bob, I clearly have not been following this thread in its detail, and not currently shopping--but wonder if you feel that data available on the machine itself is sufficient for you to have decided to ignore the lack of software available for such an expensive cpap?
DeVilbiss IntelliPap Std Plus with Smartflex; Transcend miniCPAP & Everest2 w/humidifier & batt for travel. UltraMirage FFM; PadACheeks; PaPillow. Using straight CPAP at 13.0/passover humidifier. AHI consistently < 1.5. Began CPAP 9/4/08.

I saw a video with Resmed talking heads. One of them said that the noise level for the S9 machine itself is the same as the S8 II (24dB), but they have reduced the noise which is transmitted through the hose to the mask.dsm wrote: 4) Noise level - does it seem quieter that the S8 II (I can't see how they could get it quieter myself )

+1 pretty please?fadedgirl wrote:Will you send something to my inbox, too?
I'm up for one of these, but the software is the only dealbreaker.

Isn't the ResScan software the same as the software for the S8 Autoset II?DreamDiver wrote:Check your inbox...plr66 wrote:DD & Bob, I clearly have not been following this thread in its detail, and not currently shopping--but wonder if you feel that data available on the machine itself is sufficient for you to have decided to ignore the lack of software available for such an expensive cpap?

In looking back I know my father had undiagnosed sleep apnea and he suffered greatly for it. I WILL NOT go through that. Using a cpap is easy compared to that.

I saw that one too - was wondering if they did something to stabilize turbulence - I know SWS has talked about this in the distant past.

Its an updated version of the same software.Craig P wrote:Isn't the ResScan software the same as the software for the S8 Autoset II?
Readily available outside the reach of US healthcare regulations......
Cheers,
Bill

And just in case Bill Bolton was too subtle - we can thank the US FDA and the American medical profession lobbyists for that. They consider Americans to be not as intelligent as those in other countries.

ResScan version 3.7 is for the S8 machines only. Version 3.10 will work with S8 and S9 machines.Craig P wrote:Isn't the ResScan software the same as the software for the S8 Autoset II?DreamDiver wrote:Check your inbox...plr66 wrote:DD & Bob, I clearly have not been following this thread in its detail, and not currently shopping--but wonder if you feel that data available on the machine itself is sufficient for you to have decided to ignore the lack of software available for such an expensive cpap?
Re: US pricing on the Resmed - just in...
Wish I knew a cheap, safe way to get newer software. Now that I use Windows 7, I cant get my ResScan 3.5 (which I had thought was 3.7) to work anymore for downloading my VPAP Auto data.Uncle_Bob wrote:ResScan version 3.7 is for the S8 machines only. ResScan 3.10 is documented as being Vista approved so it will be interesting to hear if it works on Windows 7.
