Update:
MSRP's for S9 Autoset:
Resmed S9 Autoset: US$869.00
Heated Humidifier (h5i): $182.00
Climateline Hose: $39.95
I won't publish the on-line order price, but it's typically lower.
The machine comes with the 'slimline' hosing.
Here's a
user guide too.
The 'mask-fit' option seen in the guide didn't seem to show up on the
S9 site. At least I didn't see it there. Sounds like a great help for large leaks.
I wonder if the screen is OLED.
They also actually show the back of the machine in the 'gallery' on the S9 site:

I just called cpap.com. She said I was her 1st call about the S9.
There is the S9 AutoSet and S9 Elite listed. If you "click to see price" you will still see their prices. After March 15, due to ResMed's new policy, you will need to call for the price.
She says a data card is included, but had no info on software availability. They expect their inventory on Wed. She hadn't seen the actual xpaps yet.
I can't help it, I'm excited.
Edited to add: but not excited enough to order it...yet. I'm getting such good results from my S8, so I see no reason to change.

...in lieu of patient available software...
you get marketing BS, higher price and smiley faces.

Price: $1995.00
Yeah, the pricing is a lot more expensive in Australia, even in Australian dollars. It might be cheaper for them to buy it online from the US and have it shipped.
I bought mine too!

What's not to like about smilies?
It's supposed to be the quietest machine on the market, plus they come straight out and say the machine detects centrals.

Question for all the senior resident experts: when a new toy comes out, e.g. S9, what's the time lag to seeing older models, e.g. S8 AutoElite II, become available at big discounts. A few months or longer?

Sometimes the prices go up not down. That is what happen with the Legacy Respironics machines when the M series replaced them.

And that is because the Legacy "tanks" were much the better device than the M Series.
It wouldn't surprise me if the S8s repeat the Legacy's experience. They are a tough, sturdy device, with the hose off the front and NO POWER BRICK OR EXTRA CORD!!!

I just tried to buy from cpap.com but they don't know what they are doing yet. They don't even know for sure if they have any inventory yet or not.
I was quoted $600 for the machine (APAP)
$1072 for machine with H5i humidifier. A $472 humidifier that must be one good humidifier
$1104 for the machine, H5i and a heated hose.
I'll wait

We're definitely in agreement there.

Their prices this morning had the "Click to see price" links, but those are gone now... (and they were less for the bundled humidifier prices). I had written them to ask about why the "with climate control" bundle was $59.95 more when the climate control kit by itself was only $39.95. So... I suspect they are reviewing their pricing and will correct it later.

Mine is shipping today. I'm very excited.
The price preview is no longer available. You have to call to get the unpublished price, due to Resmed's rules.
Mine was
significantly lower than the bundle amount shown on the web currently.

Uncle_Bob,
Am sure I am one of many waiting to hear your feedback
Some questions already ...
1) What is the storage capacity of the supplied SD card ?
2) Can you try plugging in a much larger card (e.g. 2GB or 4GB or 8GB) & see if it still works (I believe cards over 2GB need FAT32 formatting, if they work)
3) Naturally want to hear about that temp sensing climate control
4) Noise level - does it seem quieter that the S8 II (I can't see how they could get it quieter myself )
Cheers
