I know it's not Friday yet but.....
Wow...I haven't logged on since early this morning....I was so happy to see all of your posts. I have to be honest with ya'll. I've been having some health issues these past 2 weeks and I'm beginning to think that I'm going to have to curb the "diet/exercise" a little bit....more the exercise than diet. I've been feeling pretty lousy (as some of you know) and haven't been posting as much because of it. I'm still going to stick to our "program" but I'm going to concentrate more on feeling better than worrying about the lbs. I lose. Don't worry, I"m going to be fine...just have to take some medicine..and maybe have a little surgery down the road. So, if I'm not posting as much as usual, that doesn't mean I'm not watching everything you say ....so keep up the good work!!! I'm sure Linda and Lori can take up my slack for me

Thanks R&R. How's everything going with you?? Congrats on losing the lbs....isn't that a great feeling!!
Is life returning to normal yet? We lost our airconditioner for 3 days this summer and I was going out of my mind. I can't imagine how difficult this is for you and all the others. I hope if gets better soon!

No, she doesn't read this forum ... thankfully. Yet another boyfriend. Some show up and I scare them off with my hunting bow (really!). Others stay a while, break her heart and leave. Those ones I really do hunt down and ... . Which reminds me; I have to buy more arrows.LoneRider wrote:18 already, argggg, hope she does not read this forum, I remember, darn almost 10 years ago now, when we met and she had that cute little crush on me, and now she is going off to college, has a car, and a (unless it has changed) a boy friend. Wow.
Did you know there are lots of places in Florida where a body will never be found? (People, I'm just kidding! But when your "little" girl's heart has been broken it is satisfying to fantasize.)
Yep.So do they still refer to me as Jack?
Gladly!Wow, time flys. Please pass along a hug from Stacy and I!

It's not the temptation that is so bad but the giving in to it. We get tempted all our lives by all sorts of "evils," but when we give in...by the way, it's truly okay to have a couple of cookies, you know. They won't kill your OR your weight loss, as long as you don't eat a dozen or so. I think if you deny yourself, you want it even more. You know what they say about the forbidden fruit?
I know, now I'm going to get swamped with replies about how some people can't just eat a couple of cookies but MUST have a dozen or so if they eat one...but that's what I'm talking about. If you have self-control and do anything in moderation, it can't hurt.

Being the mother of two boys, and a girl not old enough to REALLY date yet, although she's had a few "boyfriends already," it's no walk in the park when they bring home the girlfriends, either, nowadays. You'd be pretty amazed at some of the types of girls that are out there. My older one has a wonderful "steady" right now for almost a year that he says he's going to marry, and I hope he does. And the other son just broke it off with someone I knew wasn't right for him, but I would never tell him that or he'd stay with her forever. Reminded me of someone who should be dancing around a pole, if you get my drift. Gorgeous, but...okay, enough said.rock and roll wrote:Glad I had a boy! Hi everyone! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. We had a cold snap from the South Pole but back to our lovely Spring weather for the weekend.
2lb down (don't even want to think of how many to go). I've set a mini-goal of ten lb. Still not into the exercise routine yet but I am going to start in a few minutes when I finish here! Got eight hours sleep last night by going to bed before eleven.
Lori
Thanks for posting a connection to the photos of your daughter wearing the revamped Swift. I made the change and it's great!

Thanks for caring and keeping us all accountable ... and for FREE when almost nothing in life is really free (except Salvation!!!) I will be praying for your health concerns until you report here that everything is back to normal (which I know will be soon).

Amy, I hope that your health concerns will resolve quickly and easily! And it is always best to concentrate on your health....exercise and eat as well as you can within your current limitations.
Lori, What others were saying about muscle weighing more than fat is absolutely correct. And sometimes when you are dieting and exercising, you lose fat and gain muscle and that could actually cause a weight gain, but not a fat gain! Perhaps that is what is going on with you. But don't give up. You can do it.
And congratulations to everyone who lost weight! And also to those who are still trying!
It is good to see everyone's posts....even those about chocolate chip cookies! (Bill, I know I could not have resisted those!)
I am not sure where we are posting weight loss. I managed 2# but really having trouble with control during the night. Working on it.

Lynn,
I'm so glad the Swift photos helped. But I have to give all the credit to Tridens who came up with the idea. I just supplied the model and the photos. Glad you're feeling it a more comfortable configuration. It's nice when something so small can make such a huge improvement.
Nan,
Thanks for the encouragement. It's funny because I don't see muscle, per se, but I guess if I'm losing inches, that's got to be a good sign. Like I said, in any case, it's going to be my new way of life, so I won't change what I'm doing. I know it's healthier than how I was and hopefully one week the weight will start to drop off again. I never had such a hard time taking off some pounds when I've behaved so well with the eating and actually exercised, too. I guess coming off the crazy levels and not exercising in so long took its toll. Like they said, it took a while to get here and it will take a while to fix.
