Awwww, shucks! See what good sleep will do. They don't call it "beauty sleep" for nothin'!

Carol, No, I didn't know that!! Wonderful story! How did you survive? I'm still recuperating, never mind the new parents. Unfortunately my son lives about 3hrs away with busy highway driving so this will be a problem for us but we're trying to work it out so we can get there. Up until a few years ago we were able to make that trip, but time marches on! Hugs to all your grandbabies!

Kenny, we're all waiting for your sweet boy to arrive!! Have I got a girl for him!!

Hey, I've been distracted for quite a bit (and away from the boards) but wanted to say: CONGRATS! My oldest is 19 and my youngest is 3 (both girls) with three boys in the middle. Kids are awesome (especially when they're asleep).

Hi everyone! We are in the hospital! Marie has to be induced since she's fairly well past her due date and her cervix is being stubborn. We will probably have baby tomorrow morning or afternoon!

And of course I wouldn't forget. Here's my CPAP setup for tonight.

Well it's about time -- keeping us all waiting like that!

Congrats, and do you really think that you are going to get to use that AutoSet tonight?

Whatever you do, don't let it fall off of that char.

Kenny, I've thought about you and your wife several times this week, wondering what's up! Good to read that you're now very close to welcoming your new son into the world!!!

Something tells me that you're not going to be getting any sleep tonight. Good to be prepared with your machine, though!

I will check here for an update tomorrow. Best wishes!

Dori, for awhile my youngest daughter lived 3 hours away so I know what you are going through. When she had her baby (the first one) I was so depressed not having her closer to me. She has since moved back here and I am soooo glad!!!!!!

Babies are so exciting. They are what keeps us young, and yet ages us to the nth degree.

If I only knew what I know now -- I would have went straight to grandkids -- spoil them and send them home.

All joking aside, I am so happy for you Tattoo!! I love kids and having them around. Why else do you think I decided to teach after having 5 kids of my own?

Don't forget to send pics our way when the bundle of joy arrives, along with all the pertinent data!!

Dori,

Congrats on the new gbaby! Thank the Lord that you live so close to her. Mine is in Spain with three weeks to go. Honestly, I saw my DIL on Skype and she doesn't look as though she is going to make it another three weeks. Dori, if you don't have a webcam and Skype, go get it! I get to see my son when I talk to him., and it's free. That baby is going to know who her grandma is.

Kenny, we are all holding our collective breaths!

Kenny, we're all waiting for the good news!! Thanks for all the good wishes, my son just walked me through setting up Skype but it's still a little shaky, probably I'm doing something wrong on my end. I have a dearfriend who is willing to take me to upstate NY to see my Scarlett on Sunday. It will be a big trip, 3hrs each way so Mike won't be going but they promise to bring her down to see him after Labor Day when she's a little bigger. Blessings to all the grandchildren here. Alan King, the comedian, once said "If I knew grandchildren were so wonderful I would have had them first"!!
