me too. at first i would check it everyday - i found it fascinating and very educational. but for sevceral weeks now, the numbers have been very stable, so much to look at it. now i only really dig into it if i had a bad night.

Have you looked at the history to find that you had a bad night in the past that you didn't know was a bad night? I have.

Sure have. I had one the other night. I didn't think about it because I felt ok figured it was the stress of the holidays and the mother in law being hospitalized. Turns out I had major mask leaks increasing my numbers enough that the whole weeks worth of data was skewed.

Not since 2006. I'm thinking I should re-load all the stuff again but had not gotten around to it.

As a noob, I check daily. The reason I do is I want to be able to start correlating the way I feel with the data.

Eventually, the plan is that I will eventually "know" when my treatment is working and when it isn't. Hopefully, I will then know when to tweak and when to get help from my doctor.

When I was using the S8, it was easy, as I had the software - despite the initial resistance from the seller of the unit, even though I had my doctor's support to have it!

Unfortunately, with the PR1, even though it subjectively feels more comfortable and is quieter than my S8, until I am able to obtain the software, I have to rely on the LCD, which isn't really that detailed (since it only provides averages) and doesn't enable one to accurately understand progress nite-by-nite.

Hey Dog, as far as the numbers, they are important and can be extremely helpful.

What really matters is how do you feel? If you don't feel any better than before does it make a difference if you have good numbers. How about if you feel better than before but you can read the data and your numebrs are only so so. Your not going to worry about getting those numbers to look great at the expense of not feeling better.

Yes, I can and do dowloand and pay attention to the numbers, but more important is how do I feel.

Dave,
Unless you've got something other than the PLUS in your profile... I wouldn't bother... it'll only show you the hours that you've used it.

If you fill in your equipment profile (through the User Control Panel at the top of the page), I'm sure someone here would be happy to tell you if your machine is capable of reporting full data, and if it is we could help you learn how to do it if you're interested.

Your avatar is a kitty cat, your site name is "the wet lizard", and you're an "odd little bunny" - I think so! (Are you a zoo or menagerie?!)

Hey BleepingBeauty, we're just about on the same time line. I started CPAP August 31, 2007. Purchased my own data capable machine in June this year and I've been tracking my progress since then.

I created a spreadsheet to document and track my settings and results each night. For the first few months I downloaded and checked my data every day as I was trying to adjust my therapy and improve my AHI. Lately my settings are stable and I'm downloading my data anywhere from daily up to three days. I don't go any longer than that.
Masks I've tried but didn't like :
FlexiFit HC405 - couldn't stop the leaks

And, in some cases a whole month or more can be skewed from what is 'normal'. In that case, I usually eliminate those dates if all I'm looking for is 'normal'. If I want data that reflects long term XPAP experience, then I leave them in because after all, life is filled with exceptions : )

Just checked mine for the first time in 2-3 weeks, during which I have had an upper respiratory infection that wont go away. My 7 day AHI was 2.2 and 30 day was 3.1.... I'm not gonna complain, and now I'm probably not gonna check for another 2-3 weeks.

Hi Gerry,

You are quite right.

I do feel a little better generally, but nowhere near as good as a couple of magic and energized days I have had.

I am trying to understand whether those few days were specifically because of my treatment for those preceding nights.

Unfortunately, with this darned 7/30 avge only available on the display, the information is severely limited.

If this PR1 software was available to the medical profession, I could have asked my doctor whether he was prepared to help me out - only problem, he is on vacation until February... don't think I can wait until then, as I don't want to spend another month still being like this.

Your numbers must be really low when not in the midst of an infection! Yeah!
