Yes, age has much to do with it. It usually appears as a midlife crisis!
Or rather, in middle age. Some don't get diagnosed until much later though.

49 and *should* have been on cpap for something up to 10 years, 5 for sure, but just getting started. So I'm very good at denial, OK?

I'm 61, been on cpap for 10 months now.
Glad to be on line, phone hasn't worked(for computer) since Hurricane Katrina.
